I agree. The menu changes are wonderful. I missed the escargot, but the replacement of crab stuffed mushroom caps served in the escargot dishes with leftover butter and garlic left in the little pods was delicious. hopefully, the problems with supplying escargot will be resolved and it will return to the menu.

Had the crab stuffed mushroom caps a few times myself...even commented to the wait staff...that they had to do something with all those escargot dishes...:D They were delicious as you said!:)

I had that tonight and it was the best ! It appears that it can be ordered any night. I have enjoyed every meal there.

Radio...wow, what great pictures. The ones of the ocean you can almost see the curvature of the earth!!!

Glad you are having a great time.....looks like I might like to try the Silhouette. :)

Thanks for the nice comments. . . I was actually using an oversized Wide angle Lens. . .and it kind of distorts the image. . . I like the results though.

There are more rooms I have to explore, so there will be lots more.

Adding my "beautiful pictures" praises to you, Radio!

Also want to ask about the kids on board... are there any/many? The ship looks beautiful, and something I would be interested in trying one of these days, but is it more for hubby and me, or is there enough "family friendly" to be worthwhile?

Thanks again for such a great LIVE!!!

I think I read that the Alcoves Cabanas' hold 6 passengers. They supply 2 one ltr bottles of water, towels, and an iPad with music, movies, and games. They were running a special yesterday. If you reserved one of the Alcoves, you also received a voucher for "The Porch" and "Bistro on 5" for lunch.

Sorry you waited up for pics. . .I was worn out. . .More pics today.

In some other thread there were remarks that people shouldn't comment so much on reviews. It apparently makes the review tedious to read and wastes the reviewers time

Any opinions on this?

I myself am ready to face the wrath of all who agree with above and comment :D

I've only sailed with RCCL and am finding Celebrity very interesting. So thank you very much for this review, Radio. It is very eye-opening. In a good way!

No wrath here. If you want, it's possible bring up the poster's name and only read his or her posts.

BTW I posted #1000 on this thread a few pages ago. :D

DH and I sailed on Celebrity Horizon out of NY to Bermuda probably a bajillion years ago. Their service and food were unsurpassed and I would hope that didn't diminish in time. Radio is sure making trying this new class of ship very appealing. It's now almost 5am and I'm going to brew a pot of Starbuck's in his honor.

Good Morning. . .Welcome to DAY 4 of “LIVE” from Celebrity Silhouette. Is it Day 4 already ? Today is our 3rd Day at sea on our way to the Caribbean.

Tomorrow we will be in St Thomas ! I like days at sea, but the perfect itinerary for me would be Sea Day / Port/ Sea Day /Port etc. . . I know I know. . .I am happy to be on this itinerary, and we have a different Port each day for the next 5 Days. . .

You wont believe me when I tell you that I was up very early this morning. I thought I would try something a little different just to shake things up a bit. Early morning is a favorite time for me, and I guess I am just used to it. I wake up early for work everyday, and now that I have a few days off. . . It just seems normal to be an early riser. Maybe I will sleep a little later as the week progresses.

Last night I really enjoyed my dinner in the Grand Cuvee’ Restaurant. I remember having the Chicken Wellington ? (I think that was it. . .) It was stuffed with wild mushrooms and I loved every bite. I also like that Celebrity offers a bread basket with assorted breadsticks and fresh rolls and bread. A server does not have to come and ask if you would like more. I couldn’t stay for dessert because it was Showtime in the Silhouette Theater.

Celebrity showcased the music and humor of Doug Cameron. He offers classical, jazz, country and other styles of his contemporary and electric violin sounds. He was very talented, and he really worked the crowd with a few jokes. Doug was joined by the Silhouette Orchestra on stage. He wasn’t my cup of tea, so I decided to take a stroll through a place close by. . .Fortunes Casino. Things are looking up for me here, as I tried hard not to repeat my previous efforts earlier in the day.

Here are a few pics from last night. . And early this morning. . . Thanks for tuning in.

Radio, I've taped the knob on this station should anyone try to change it. I am loving "our" trip and will enjoy the sea before St Tom. Have a great day in the warmth cause it's cold up here in our neck of the woods. Thanx for sharing

Great pictures and writing, thanks for the effort. We were on the 3/5 trip, so its all fresh and makes me want to go back. Found one of your above statements interesting because on our trip on the Silhouette, the only 2 things that went sour were a meal at Tuscan that dragged on for hours, and the Chicken Wellington in the MDR. Its the only meal I've ever sent back on a cruise, I didn't care for the stuffing at all, was told it was a chicken liver based stuffing (the menu didn't say that), so just not for my taste at all. Shows how subjective food tastes are, Radio loved it, my wife liked it, I couldn't swallow it.

Anyway, you'll love that ship and staff more each day. Enjoy.
