Elite Breakfast Location?

If drink vouchers are given due to large number of Elite cruisers, how is breakfast handled? Where is it offered? Hours?

Elite breakfast is probably held in one of the specialty restaurants. On Connie, this is Ocean Liners. On Reflection, it's Tuscan Grille. Hours are generally 8-10 a.m. It will all be spelled out for you on the paperwork you receive in your stateroom on boarding.

On the eclipse (where they trialed the vouchers), the elite breakfast was in Tuscan Grill with an overflow, if needed in Qsine.

We've had the breakfast set up in the Sky Observation Lounge on our past two sailings. 500 elites on board, 20 at breakfast.

Same here with our Jan. 26 sailing. We had 700 Elites on board and used the voucher system for Cocktail Hour, but breakfast never had a crowding issue in the Tuscan Grill or the overflow in Qsine.

I'm wondering the same thing. Is it everyday and what is so different about the food there vs. the buffet? Is it just a matter of being in a quieter more civilized venue?

Every day except for disembarkation day. The invitation and details about the location and hours will be in your stateroom on arrival

 

It's a continental breakfast. There are complimentary mimosas and bloody Mary's and caffe lattes and cappuccino and smoothies.

We had it in the lounge too when there were a lot of Elites. On other sailings where there were less Elites, it was in Michaels.

I wish they would have had it in the Sky Lounge on our last 14 night Eclipse sailing! I have no idea how many Elites were on board; we did have the drink vouchers. But just about every time we looked into Tuscan Grill...there were so many tables occupied by people who had finished their breakfast and were reading or knitting....that the tables in front were full....I didn't want to sit by the entrance.

We were on Eclipse with 700 Elites, the breakfast was in Tuscan and in Qsine, there was no problem ever with no available seating. I wouldn't have wanted to have breakfast n the Sky Lounge, the type of seating and tiny tables would make eating difficult. Have you noticed how low some of those lounge chairs are? They're ok for lounging with a cocktail, but not when you're trying to eat a plate of food with silverware and balancing everyone's plates on a little cocktail table....

The Elite breakfast is only a continental breakfast IMO the reason people go is for the free cappicino and orange juice many then go to Blu, main dining room or the buffet for a more substantial breakfast. That is why the Elite breakfast isn't well attended. :)

When we were on Millennium, the Elite breakfast was held on the upper level of the MDR, right across from Blu.

 

It was a very handy location because we could eat a regular, cooked breakfast in Blu, and then walk a few steps over to finish off with beverages on the other side.

 

Those eating breakfast in the MDR could just walk right up the stairs to the Elite breakfast area.

We preferred that location to the specialty restaurants or the sky lounge up at the front of the ship.

 

But it was still necessary to go up to the buffet if you wanted to get those famous X waffles fresh off the griddle. :D

While the selection was not the same as in the MDR, or even the buffet, there was plenty to choose from, including lox, bagels, yogurts, cheese, beautiful fruits, and lots of breads/pastries. We particularly enjoyed the cappuccinos and lattes, and fresh fruit smoothies.

 

We're looking forward to this lovely perk on our upcoming cruise in August.

Yes it is freshly squeezed juice.

 

It was the Solstice and Equinox, both S Class, where we had Elite breakfast in the Sky Lounge. It wasn't awkward to eat/ drink at the tables. The view looking forward was incredible. To us, it was an ideal location, but being so far away from the other dining venues probably deterred some cruisers.
