perfect end to sad upgrade story

I am so excited! I wrote last week about my travel agent missing the upsell from a vd to an ss, after I told him I wanted it.(they were already sold out when he called) He told me he'd have HAL mark my reservation that I was still interested in case someone cancelled. TA supervisor just called with the coveted upsell and we have it! SO HAPPY not to have the "UPGRADE"?? under the lido deck- my worst nightmare.(which is what we had ended up with, until right now)

Sailing Sunday on the NA. I might not tell DH and let him be suprised, but I doubt if I can keep the secret till Sunday!

All's well that ends well.

On the same cruise with you! My TA called me about a month ago with an upgrade offer. HAL was offering to upgrade our SB to the PH for $1100 per person. No thanks! But I told my TA that we would be interested in upgrading for about half that, maybe $1000 total. She said it might be possible if no one took the upgrade the first time around. But I guess it didn't happen, as we never heard any more. Not complaining, I love my aft SB, and feel really fortunate to be cruising in such a nice cabin. But I did have a few fantasies about that PH!

See you Sunday!

Lovely news. Enjoy your great cabin.

Keep your secret. Let your DH be surprised. Have your camera ready when he realizes the two of you are being escorted to the suite waiting area (provided you arrive early for embarkation). You're going to have a fabulous cruise. :D:D

I'm really new at this.....can you explain why your worst nightmare is a cabin under the Lido deck? Any particular part of the Lido deck you don't want to be under or just the whole thing? What are the drawbacks?

Thanks for any info.

Some passengers in those cabins report hearing noise from chairs being moved.
