Glad to hear all is well. DH had that happen to him a few years ago....woke up one morning and the bottom half of his eye had no vision. Emergency surgery at NY Eye & Ear Infirmary (Dr. Shabto did the surgery...excellent doctor) and all was well after that.

 

OMG, it's the same doctor that did Richard's procedure!

Yes, he is the retina specialist! This happened on a Sunday (he was off) and he even came in that day to do the surgery.

Our ophthalmologist refers patients to Dr. Shabto and when he spoke to the retina specialist we saw in Ft. Lauderdale, that retina specialist also knew Dr. Shabto. :)

Having been through the detached retina issue myself, glad to hear Richard is recovering well from the surgery. I hope all continues to go well. :)

Richard's eye patch is off and the doctor is happy with the results.

Glad he's doing so well, hope you are also doing well, and wow, what a great doctor Dr. Shabto must be...not only to be such a skilled surgeon, but to come in on a day off to help someone in need.
