Boytjie Posted February 26, 2014 #26 Share Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) Glad to hear all is well. DH had that happen to him a few years ago....woke up one morning and the bottom half of his eye had no vision. Emergency surgery at NY Eye & Ear Infirmary (Dr. Shabto did the surgery...excellent doctor) and all was well after that. OMG, it's the same doctor that did Richard's procedure! Love the beach Posted February 26, 2014 #29 Share Posted February 26, 2014 OMG, it's the same doctor that did Richard's procedure! Yes, he is the retina specialist! This happened on a Sunday (he was off) and he even came in that day to do the surgery.
Boytjie Posted February 26, 2014 #30 Share Posted February 26, 2014 Yes, he is the retina specialist! This happened on a Sunday (he was off) and he even came in that day to do the surgery. Our ophthalmologist refers patients to Dr. Shabto and when he spoke to the retina specialist we saw in Ft. Lauderdale, that retina specialist also knew Dr. Shabto. :)

Take good care of both of you :)

BeagleOne Posted February 27, 2014 #38 Share Posted February 27, 2014 Glad he's doing so well, hope you are also doing well, and wow, what a great doctor Dr. Shabto must be...not only to be such a skilled surgeon, but to come in on a day off to help someone in need.
