CRUZBUDS Posted March 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Not lately, but we've done it in the past -- We're planing on booking a Royal cruise on the Eclipse in a couple of weeks! :)
packedandready Posted March 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Planning on doing just that while on the Equinox in a couple of weeks. That's one of the best things to do onboard. :D

CruisinCindy Posted March 20, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 20, 2014 Yes, not only can you book Royal Caribbean cruises, you can also book Azamara cruises as well. We have done both of these bookings onboard with no problem. Sent from my RM-860_nam_usa_100 using Tapatalk

tserface Posted March 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 20, 2014 We've booked Celebrity while on RCI and vice versa with no trouble whatsoever. So unless they changed something they seem to be OK with that plan. Tom Has anyone ever booked a future Royal Caribbean Cruise while sailing on Celebrity? Can it be done? Big_G Posted March 25, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Just an FYI, the future cruise program has gone through some recent changes on Royal. If you weren't aware I recommend you check out the RCI board for details. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Lastdance Posted March 25, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Does anyone know if you need to make an appointment with the sales consultant or do you just show up? Thanks Actually, you can do it either way...the earlier the better...not as crowded. Just make sure of their hours.
CRUZBUDS Posted March 25, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Towards the end of the cruise, you often will need an appointment. They will likely fill up. We're getting on the Eclipse a week from Saturday, the next day we'll be booking a RC cruise for 2015. :D
Holly2 Posted March 25, 2014 #14 Share Posted March 25, 2014 We just booked RCI on Eclipse last week. They won't make appts for the last two sea days. We were told we could switch the booking to Celebrity if we wanted to.

Holly2 Posted April 6, 2014 #17 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Royal is now based on category. The Celebrity onboard sales wasn't aware of this when we booked.

Big_G Posted April 6, 2014 #20 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Changes for the better?? It depends on how you look at it. The benefit of booking an actual cruise seems to have increased but there seemed to be some discrepancy as to the benefits of the old future cruise certificate. I haven't checked lately to see if the early confusion has been alleviated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The_Big_M Posted April 7, 2014 #21 Share Posted April 7, 2014 If I book a Royal Caribbean cruise with onboard Celebrity, do I get the Celebrity book onboard perks or the Royal book onboard perks? The Royal perks - same as if you booking onboard an RCL ship.
The_Big_M Posted April 7, 2014 #22 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Changes for the better?? OBC is generally the same or lower as I recall.
Rare MicCanberra Posted April 7, 2014 #23 Share Posted April 7, 2014 As mentioned, you certainly can book RCI when on X, perks that would normally be given when booking aboard will apply.:D
Stateroom_Sailor Posted April 7, 2014 #24 Share Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) RCL next cruise certificates have changed from $100 obc to $25 obc for a 7 day cruise. We purchased one of the old certificates, too bad we didn't get more! Booking your specific next cruise is now the only significant savings. If I remember correctly, an 8 day or longer is $150 obc.
