Doerthoch Posted May 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2014 Taking first cruise in 2 weeks. We have the classic beverage package and already thinking of using our OBC and upgrade to premium package. We will use the laundry service on board but what other things on board will we have to pay extra for?

Northern Aurora Posted May 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 11, 2014 The gelato has an additional fee, but the ice cream (located in the buffet) is available for no additional charge.
miched Posted May 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2014 You will have to pay for anything that will require you to sign a slip. In the daily paper they will indicate if there is a fee. When in doubt ask. Even though you have a drink package DO NOT USE ANYTHING OUT OF THE MINI BAR IN YOUR CABIN, or the large bottle of water sitting on the counter. None of it is included. 🍸🍺🍻

WestLakeGirl Posted May 14, 2014 #12 Share Posted May 14, 2014 The bottled water in the room is not free. If you have a drink package you must purchase bottles of water from a bar, or from the tables set up near the gangway in port. The drinks in the mini bar aren't part of any beverage package, either. Special rules may apply if you are in Aqua Class

WestLakeGirl Posted May 14, 2014 #14 Share Posted May 14, 2014 Yes, it began when Canyon Ranch took over. There's a long thread about it already but the short version is, now it is held in the fitness center, and after one free teaser session, it's no o longer free
TeaBag Posted May 14, 2014 #15 Share Posted May 14, 2014 Zumba was free on the Infinity last spring...is the charge new??? Yes. The Canyon Ranch people are running it now and the Zumba instructors are employed by them instead of Celebrity. I talked to one and he was not a happy camper. Classes are $11 + 18% tip, making them almost $13. They did do the first one poolside and it was free but subsequent classes were held in the Fitness area. Several classes were at 5 PM a stupid time esp for people eating early.

Duanerice1 Posted May 15, 2014 #18 Share Posted May 15, 2014 The folks above provided a good list. But, we rarely ever pay for extras. We have to prepay gratuities because we do Anytime Dining. We don't normally due specialty restaurants and might buy a souvenir but that is about it. Wait, my wife and the casino, that's another story and doesn't show up on my bill. So if you have a beverage package and don't care to pay extra for meals then you really don't need to pay for much of anything. enjoy

You're right. The day we were in Maui they scheduled the class for 2PM. Like any of us are going to come back from beautiful Kaanapali Beach to take the class and then go out again!:D No one showed up, the instructor told me. mamagina Posted May 15, 2014 #20 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Is there a sauna and a steamroom in the spa? Is the use of those items free or do you have to buy a spa pass like on NCL? Is there any sort of an indoor pool or hot tub on the Summit? Thanks!
