Rare markeb Posted July 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2014 Just curious. It's been less than a week, but the last cruise will put us at Diamond, and since my recent experiences with RCI's IT department have been less than stellar, I'd like to see it post! Rare MandyMooToo Posted July 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2014 A week to ten days. Same here. My son's points (after his first cruise) took about two weeks to post. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

BND Posted July 4, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) Average, about a week. Quickest was about 4 days, slowest was 3 weeks and that was after I contacted them at 2 weeks. They say give it 2 weeks after your return for it to post before enquiring. Edited July 4, 2014 by BND
Rare markeb Posted July 4, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted July 4, 2014 About a week was what I seemed to remember, but oddly (or not) this isn't a FAQ on the C&A site! Most hotels and airlines give you a ballpark after which you should inquire about missing points, but strangely not on the C&A web page. It sounds like it "should" post this weekend! Rare markeb Posted July 4, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted July 4, 2014 How does 7 cruises make you a diamond? One 8 day, one 12 day, plus two 7's and one 9 in a JS. The three in the JS are 46 cruise points by themselves...

Rare markeb Posted July 4, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted July 4, 2014 It JUST posted! Status now shows Diamond! Less than 90 minutes since asking the question on Cruise Critic. Cause and effect? :)
BND Posted July 4, 2014 #13 Share Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) How does 7 cruises make you a diamond? We were diamond after 6 cruises on RCI. It's called staying in JS or GS for all but the shortest cruise. (5 day inbalcony) and doing 5, 10, 11 day, and a couple of 7 day cruises in suites. It's actually pretty easy to make D after 6 or 7 cruises. Edited July 4, 2014 by BND

hairymelon Posted July 4, 2014 #15 Share Posted July 4, 2014 I have turned diamond after five cruises, mainly due to having suites. :) I have to say though the status is not really that important to me just enjoying the cruises is :) Glad you have now made Diamond and got your points etc :)

So, I'd say you enjoy the status. Edited July 4, 2014 by BND

Yes it does get you a discount which the call centre in Guatemala managed to take off me a couple of days ago so I had to ring C&A to get it back again!! Need eyes in the back of your head with them at the moment ;)
