Cape Liberty: priority line for RS/PH guests?

Upon arrival and, if so, is the signage for this area prominently displayed when you pull up by car? We're being dropped off and wondered where to unload luggage (if this is offered).

Sailing with a toddler and hope to avoid chaos as much as possible.:). Thanks for any head's up....

You unload luggage in the same place everyone else unloads luggage - right in front of the terminal as soon as you pull up. There will be people directing you where to pull in and unload luggage.

The priority piece takes place once you enter the terminal. Sometimes you are directed to a "priority" security area to pass through (sometimes not) but once you are through Security you are directed to an area where only CS/RS/PH and Zeniths check in. You are escorted on the ship and bypass all the normal "lines".

Hope this helps.

Since you are traveling with a toddler you should know there is a very short bus ride from check-in to the ship. Probably a quarter of a mile. The bus ride is mandatory for everyone.

We sailed in a Sky Suite on the July 13th voyage of the Summit. After we dropped off luggage with everyone else, a Celebrity rep looked at our Express Pass and said 'come with me.' We bypassed everyone else and were taken down the left-hand side of the security area and had no wait to get through a dedicated security checkpoint.

After that, we were directed around a curtain to a separate check-in area with, I believe, 4 agents. They processed us very quickly and then stopped briefly to have an embarkation photo made, then out the door to board the shuttle. Very short ride to the Summit.

I would think there might be more escorting/handholding for RS/PH guests. The Summit hosted a very nice brunch at embarkation for suite guests. We broke our normal routing of eating that lunch at Bistro on 5. It was a nice way to begin a fun trip to Bermuda!

Yes, after you go thru security, an agent will look at your Xpress pass. Make sure you print it out and bring it with you. From that point forward, Celebrity will take good care of you. :) Enjoy your cruise and Michael's Lounge.

When will you be sailing? About 8-9 days prior to sailing, you should receive an email from Cesar Saenz, concierge for the Michael's Lounge. Just cut and paste your post here as part of your reply to him. He would take great care of you and your family.

At Cape Liberty, this occurred well before security. Actually, it was right after we dropped off luggage and were moving towards the LONG security line.

Very helpful post as we will be in a sky suite as of Sunday and have never sailed Celebrity before. Thanks!

Hopefully you will enjoy the cruise and not be disappointed about not getting all of the perks that you may be anticipating by being in a suite. I don' t think the Sky Suites have all the perks or benefits as the CS and above.

Hi,

We will be sailing on the Summit on Sunday in a Royal Suite and have not received an email from the concierge. It seems that I keep reading about folks in suites getting emails from the concierge prior to sailing. Is this the norm?

Thanks!

I'm really looking forward to it and while I know the sky suites don't have all the bells and whistles of the higher categories, it's fun to go in fairly blind with no expectations to speak of. It's like a first cruise all over again! :)

I'm happy to know about luggage drop off. It sounds like a similar process to the NYC pier.

It has been reported as the norm recently but, as far as I know, there has not been anything officially stated about it and, I believe, one or two people have reported not receiving an email.

I guess that you have already checked your spam folder. Have you, perhaps, changed your email address? I know that I have and changed it everywhere on Celebrity's records but all my emails still keep going to my old email address!

We are also in a suite and Celebrity is providing us with a "free" car to pick us up at our home and take us to the port in Bayonne, and bring us home after the cruise. You should inquire as we booked it a few months ago and are in a CS. You may be eligible- you have to live less then 50 miles from the terminal. Good luck!!

We are sailing the following week and I called Celebrity re: the concierge call, and the people I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about! I know RC concierge calls Grand Suite and above guests.

Now this is very interesting, indeed, I live literally 15 minutes from the port - just on the other side of the Bayonne Bridge.....

I've never read about this anywhere on these boards, but I will definitely inquire. Thanks very much for letting me know of your particular experience.:)

I can't remember where I got it, but I have a Flyer with FAQ about the coming 2015 Suite Class benefits. Here's the relevant excerpt.

"Will limosine transportation to and/or from the cruise terminal be provided for Suite Class guests? No. This is not being offered- except for NYC-area residents sailing on Celebrity Summit to Bermuda."

Maybe they are just starting this early, in certain cases, like they did with Michael's lounge and some of the other perks??

Tried to attach pdf of the flyer for you, but I'm only on iPad and it would only allow photo attachment (??) Will try to edit this from my computer and attach pdf, if it works.

I tried to get more info at the link listed on last page, but the page doesn't seem to exist on celebrity.com

I get very frustrated trying to search that website!
