hpf Posted November 2, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Resist the urge to change your clocks tonight. Save the hour for when you really need it! ;) I seem to need it almost every day lately. But thanks for the great reminder OP. Yesterday I was searching for Halloween earrings I made and I found 6 of the "old" round pillow chocolates. What a nice treat last night. I guess that was "Trick & Treating" myself. :D :D Helen

Hflors Posted November 2, 2014 #17 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Does anyone know why its not done in Arizona or Hawaii? (I wonder if they do it in alaska? With 24 hours of day light or darkness would it matter???)
Rare POA1 Posted November 2, 2014 #18 Share Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Does anyone know why its not done in Arizona or Hawaii? (I wonder if they do it in alaska? With 24 hours of day light or darkness would it matter???) They don't go onto Daylight Savings Time, so there no need to go off. Same thing with half of Indiana, which no one mentioned. (Clearly a bunch of Hoosier-haters. ;)) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_in_Indiana Edited November 2, 2014 by POA1
RuthC Posted November 2, 2014 #19 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Does anyone know why its not done in Arizona or Hawaii? (I wonder if they do it in alaska? With 24 hours of day light or darkness would it matter???) The reason Hawaii doesn't switch is because the closer you get to the equator, the closer you get to 12/12 hour days throughout the year. There is simply no need to change twice a year. Yes, Alaska does change to Daylight Saving Time.
Rare kazu Posted November 2, 2014 #20 Share Posted November 2, 2014 The people that live in areas where it doesn't apply. Or who have to deal with areas where it does/doesn't. wish you would have quoted my entire post and not a sentence. My point was that this was a very cute, original post by magandab and very enjoyable.
