lyban Posted April 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Can anyone tell me if I can just go into Johnny rockets and get only a milkshake for whatever the price is, or do I have to pay the 6.95 cover charge first even if no eating a meal. AnnaNY Posted April 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Wait, there's a cover charge PLUS you have to pay for a burger & fries??
Guest Posted April 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2015 On Anthem it's item prices - no cover. We had milkshakes on day 1, was disappointed though. Maybe they are better on other ships.
Langley Cruisers Posted April 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Wait, there's a cover charge PLUS you have to pay for a burger & fries?? Cover charge per person includes all food but no beverages of any kind. Do not get the grilled cheese sandwich - awful. :p
AnnaNY Posted April 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2015 OK so like oasis restaurants that have cover charges, cover food, and ones with zero cover charge are ala carte
gtgeorge Posted April 30, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2015 I didn’t know that! So you can let’s say on Allure you can walk to Johnny rockets and order a milkshake for free?
Rare A&L_Ont Posted April 30, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) Cover charge per person includes all food but no beverages of any kind. I think it starts with the different cruise bread.;) Now the peanut butter milkshake is amazing, if you like peanut butter. rstout Posted April 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 30, 2015 I didn’t know that! So you can let’s say on Allure you can walk to Johnny rockets and order a milkshake for free? You have to pay the fee for a milkshake when you walk in and order. Even if you pay the cover charge to sit and eat, there is an extra fee for milkshakes. We've used the C&A coupons on a couple of ships and they have both been disappointing. Of course, we have JR in our town and it's just a hot mess of disappointment on land, so why would it be different at sea?

DH loves chocolate so got a chocolate milkshake. Ugh. Made with vanilla ice cream. Little to no chocolate taste at all. Once was enough.
CaribbeanCrush Posted April 30, 2015 #13 Share Posted April 30, 2015 We've been to JR's on the Liberty and most recently the Freedom. We've always enjoyed it, but then again, maybe it was the view. Love to sit outside eating and watching the ocean good by. Can't do that at home! :)
Desertbelle Posted April 30, 2015 #14 Share Posted April 30, 2015 2 weeks off the Allure and we ate at Johnny Rockets. The milkshakes (I had a Malt) were pretty good, but the Route 66 hamburger was delicious!
beancounterbeth Posted April 30, 2015 #15 Share Posted April 30, 2015 I think I know the answer to this but a milkshake isn't included in the premium drink package is it? Probably not, but I thought it was worth asking.

trev71 Posted April 30, 2015 #18 Share Posted April 30, 2015 We always go in and use our bogo coupon for a milkshake at least once and never pay the cover charge. If I ever go to johnny rockets I never have my milkshake with the meal its way too filling
