I’ll be back n Mariner TOMORROW but I wont be meeting the host. Not gambling this weekend. Just enjoying the ship for the short time we have. The way things have been going lately with CR gives me little incentive to gamble that much.

 

 

 

I just made 400 pts. Not counting my BJ points.

Not happy with no regular quick hits.

I'll probably not make signature next year.

Don't care I'll be Pinnacle this year anyways.

Free internet, suite lounge, priority embark, disembark!

Well I phoned the casino line to try and book my free "prime" cruise. Only to be told yes I'm prime but for some reason I don't get anything. Do I want to book anyway?? "No I want you to contact a supervisor and find out where my free stuff is, others get it so why not me" oh yeah I could do that for you. So now I'm awaiting a call or email from the higher ups lol. Really wish they'd get their systems sorted.

Since I complained on here about being placed in the wrong tier category, I must be fair to RCCL and post the outcome. I received a call stating my Prime status was verified and inviting me to call to book the complimentary cruise. I upgraded the interior to a balcony on an 8-day Anthem cruise for $358. Ok, I'm happy now. Hope those that are still waiting for resolution will receive a positive reply soon.

I guess there's not much difference between casino prices for inside and balcony cabins. I booked the same 3/15/18 cruise back in the beginning of June with my Signature free cruise. The Signature free cruise was an Obstructive View cabin. I was already booked in a D2 for the 3/3/19 cruise so wanted the same cabin for the B2B. They charged me $300 to upgrade to a D2 from the free Obstructive View.

Hi Gayle, The $358 doesn't include port fees and taxes on mine. There wasn't much difference to upgrade to an unobstructed balcony vs. the oceanview.

My verification is still pending, it will be 3 weeks this Sunday that I was told that the verification was pending!

 

It was just shy of 3 weeks from when I sent the first email that they called to say it was confirmed. Hopefully, you will hear some good news on Monday.

The $300 I paid did include the taxes & port charges. I was just happy to get the same cabin for a B2B so I didn't have to move. I still check the prices though, to see if it goes down. If you pay for an upgrade, I wonder if you can get a price adjustment if the price goes down, when booking through the casino, with a free cabin offer.

We are doing B2B on Anthem Feb 15-23 and Feb 23-Mar 3. Both are “free” casino bookings

 

Awesome!! I will be on the Feb 23 sailing on the Anthem - "free" casino booking. Doing a b2b on Grandeur starting Jan 3 (casino bookings using certs and free bookings) and then a b2b on Harmony starting Mar 29. Need to stay at home once in a while. All of them are solos.

 

I did get some really good deals for the rest of this year on Adventure, Allure, Anthem and Grandeur. Most were fully comp'd except for taxes, etc. I try to take advantage of the cruise listings where I don't have the extra expense for flights when cruising solo. My DH will be on the Allure with me in October. Upgraded to a Crown Loft Suite. I really cannot complain about CR and the benefits I have received over the past few years.

 

I do try to attend the Meet & Mingles so maybe I'll get to meet you there if not in the casino. I'm usually at the tables!!!

Do you get your crown and anchor points as well when sailing on a “free” cruise. How do they track the casino accumulated points - by cruise or year and if yearly is it calendar year?

C&A are accumulated on the comp'd cruises by CR. Casino points are tracked yearly from Apr 1 to Mar 31 to determine your tier.

Any points you accumulated from sailings on Royal from July 2016 to December 2017 were used to determine your current tier for the year from April 2018 to March 2019. If you have previous sailings on Royal during that time period and have frequented the casino, call back and talk to someone else. It appears from prior postings that not every representative you talk to has the most current information or cares to do the research for you.

 

The sailing you completed in March should go towards the next tier period. Supposedly CR is grandfathering everyone into the new program so all points accumulated from January 2018 to March 2019 would determine your CR tier starting April 2019 and then yearly after that from April to March.

Because it's royal Caribbean and if their system worked the way it's supposed to we would all keel over from shock lol. [emoji48][emoji48] I'm one of the people who can't get a cruise so far but rccl's best supervisors are looking into it for me [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] hopefully I'll receive an answer before time runs out to book it lol.

I don't profess to understand how these CR representatives interpret the new program. I called to book an offer received thru the mail and after we were done, they said ... "You are signature. Did you want to also book your free cruise now?" I said I would do it later. I called back another day and had no problem. Go figure!! I would keep calling back until I got someone who knew what they were talking about. JMO
