SS Exeter Posted September 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2015 We will be on the Westerdam in October in the carribean. Can anyone tell me what time is happy hour in the Crow's Nest? Is it the same time every day? We plan to meet some people there for drinks and wanted to be sure of the times before we depart. Thanks so much for all the help on this board.:)

Krazy Kruizers Posted September 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2015 There isn't any Happy Hour on Embarkation Day. On all the ships we have been on, including the Westerdam, Happy was from 4 -5 all the other days both in the Crows Nest and Ocean Bar. Buy one drink and get the second one for $1 -- must be the same drink.
SS Exeter Posted September 25, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Thank you so much for your answers. I woke up in the middle of the night an realized I could have/should have done a cruise critic search - but then I don't think I would have learned that there is no Happy Hour on embarkation day. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It is appreciated.:) Edited September 25, 2015 by SS Exeter
Rare 1of4 Posted September 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2015 There is a later HH in a different location than the Crow's Nest and I think it begins at 11:00. On the same voyage as Scrapnana, we went to HH in the Ocean bar.
Rare POA1 Posted September 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2015 Check your On Location (daily program) when you get to your room. We had a first day happy hour on the Noordam last year, but we did not on the Nieuw Amsterdam.

Krazy Kruizers Posted September 25, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2015 On some of our Westerdam cruises, there was a Happy Hour at 11 PM to Midnight in the Casino.
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 25, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 25, 2015 Check your On Location (daily program) when you get to your room. We had a first day happy hour on the Noordam last year, but we did not on the Nieuw Amsterdam. We sailed on the Noordam in November 2014 for 21 days -- no Happy Hour on Embarkation day for either cruise.

SS Exeter Posted September 26, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted September 26, 2015 When we are at Happy Hour at The Crow's Nest, on the Westerdam, in October, I promise we will have a Toast to all the wonderful, helpful people here on Cruise Critic. Thank you all so much for caring enough to write.;)
muffin Posted September 26, 2015 #13 Share Posted September 26, 2015 At HH the two drinks must be exactly the same.......funny story follows... Friends ordering at first HH , both wanted Martinis, but different varieties. Asked the waiter if they could have that. He said yes. When the order came, they each had TWO of their favourite beverages!! Simple misunderstanding which resulted in a delighted husband, and my DH coming to the rescue of the fair damsel by quaffing her second drink! We all still laugh about that night, and that lesson! Enjoy your cruise!
Lizzie68 Posted September 26, 2015 #14 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Just checked my daily programmes from our Westerdam cruise in April, and happy hour was always 4 - 5 pm in the Ocean Bar and the Crow's Nest, and 10 - 11pm in the Northern Lights. RuthC Posted September 27, 2015 #15 Share Posted September 27, 2015 One thing about Happy Hour that I found nice---you don't have to have the second drink. Instead, you can have a double on the first drink, and it counts the same. Who needs all that extra mixer, with all those extra calories? :D

Who needs all that extra mixer, with all those extra calories? :D Ruth, it is too bad you won't be on this cruise - we could all go to Happy Hour and you could show us all "how to save calories." Would that be a hoot?:D:D
RuthC Posted September 27, 2015 #17 Share Posted September 27, 2015 Sounds like fun. But, I will take those calories in chocolate. ;)

Rare kazu Posted March 6, 2016 #19 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Can you get wine at the happy hour? Yes you can - any of the wines that you order by the glass on the bar menu :)
