Thanks Michael for all of this info. Do you know who the Hotel Director is? Concierge? Casino Host? :)

It's great to see the names of your Shore Excursions, because it makes it easier for us to decide which ones we'll take.

GREAT pics. Good eye, and clearly a good camera.

Can't wait for March 2016! :)

Thanks it is just the iPhone camera but alone today I took over 250 pics with my DSLR which will take a while to post process tomorrow.

The exec casino host is, I hope I spell her first name right, Natallie. But I will take a picture of the casino management team board later.

By the way so far no update the casino will close until Ushuaia and there are no news yet that it will be different for the next 14 day cruises.

The names are probably hard to read but some may recognize the faces of the senior officers and department heads

I didn't recognise many of the officers, but I did recognise the CD. He was CD on the Star, the cruise I did earlier in the year/Easter break. An Aussie guy if I remember correctly.

Great photos again.

Thanks for the info re Internet. When I first cruised I bought one of the cheaper packages, but watching my minutes tick away due to slow connections I decided to just access internet in port. On this itinerary however, with more Sea Days and unsure what the free access to WiFi is like at the ports, I'm thinking the internet package would be good. (Most of my last cruises have been in Europe with lots of port days and free internet at most of the cafes/restaurants or port area). Like you I will mostly use it on my iPhone. When I travel, I also bring a mini iPad, I leave my laptop at home. Thanks again for all the great information and photos! [emoji4]

Thanks, Michael, for the updates. I was on the 1st leg of this B2B from San Diego to Chile so I am enjoying seeing the updates, and your video of Justin singing in the Windjammer. He is such a good singer. I miss not being on the ship, but still feel a part of it by seeing your posts.

HI Michael,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your experience. I look forward to your daily updates It seems the water is very calm, have you experienced any rough seas as yet?

We go in January and I can't wait:D

I think the other nights with a bit of motion was on the cruise before. This night there were some bumps and moving when we got into open waters for a couple of hours. Now we shielded again and I can't feel anything.

Hi, Michael!

I haven't been on NCL since 2010, but am booked for 02 Jan, 2016 BA --> Valparaiso.

I am contemplating using my DSLR, but am unsure if I would be able to use a smart card & download onto one of the ship's computers (I don't have a laptop or iPad) so I can email/etc from the ship. Do you happen to know? My last cruise (Princess) there were no USB ports on any of the ship's computers & the IT person was MIA.

Linda

Hey Michael,

Since you like to post so many pictures, have you thought about putting your trip on travelpod.com? You can enter as much or as little text as you want for a particular post. Then drag and drop your images to upload them and they show up as thumbnails. Clicking on one opens a photo album of all the images for that post. I would think it would be much easier for you than adding all the individual photo links here and also easier for people to view the images.

I have a question about the lecturer. Is he someone that is really knowledgable about the area

We have done this twice and NCL had the good person doing the lectures. We go Jan 30

His name is Peter Coyle. As I have never been here there is no way to tell how knowledgeable he is but he sounds very confident and has been in this area a lot of times. He had worked with the "new" NCL management for Oceania and Regent and will stay on board until April.

A word of warning, always check your onboard account. I paid all my shore excursions online before the cruise but yesterday they credited me $129 for a shore excursion on my account and deducted $135 so a $5 increase. No problem to change it back to he original amount you just have to notice it and speak up.

Thank you for that warning; we too pay for our excursions well before we board. They had gone up since we first looked at them by the time we paid. They better not try to up them again when we have paid.

Keep up the good work

Mike
