Some of you may have noticed the decorations. THey have the ship all decorated up for Valentine's Day. Streamers, ballons, and a nice display in the atrium. As soon as we got on board, we booked dinner reservations for tonight in Sabitini's and looking forward to that.

A couple pictures until we can get pack and I get the others up loaded and formatted:

Fantastic review and pictures! Forgive me if I missed any updates you did on the cabins but did they refurbish the cabins as far as carpet, bathroom, etc? We were on the Coral last spring and our bathroom was in pretty bad shape. We had a mini suite and the bathtub had numerous cracks in it and other things in the bathroom needed attention.

We watched a preview of the Coral Drydock video that we should be getting today with the reflections DVD's. From what they were saying, they replaced carpet in a few of the cabins, so sounded like it was only some that must have been in bad condition, but woiuld not expect it all to tbe rplaced. It looks like all the carpet in the common areas were replaced.

Once we can watch the dry dock video, I will try to summarize what they say they repalced, which we know could have changed from the time the video was made until it pull away from dry dock. As I have said in a few other posts, the ship looks great on the inside.

International Café looks great - glad to see it is there because it isn't shown on the deck plans and we really love it.

It is shown on the deck plans, deck 6 next to the casino.

There appeared to be fewer food options but thought there was more seating available than on many of the other ships.

Yes, less food options than the larger ships but Astro Flyer is correct that for the most part there was more than enough seating. There are small couches in addition to chairs and we thoroughly enjoyed this little cafe most days several times a day!! Also, there is a separate line for coffee/coffee drinks from the food, which I really like.

We made it back to Ft. Lauderdale without any issues. Just finished up breakfast on the balcony, watching the other ships sail in as it is getting daylight. Going to be a busy day in port as Princess has three ladies sitting here, Serenade of the Seas is across from us and Costa has one ship next to us.

The area on Dolphin deck that I mentioned earlier on the starboard hallway, top of the center staircase is still opened up. The good thing is they seemed to have fixed the problem as the awful smell is gone, although ceiling was still down and in the laying off to the sides of the hallway.

The strange sewage smell still lingers in parts of the atrium and especially strong in the starboard elevator. A lot of people can been seen making strange faces and holding their nose. Catch other whiffs of it from time to time, in Crooners or walking down the steps. It is not as bad as when we first got on except that elevator. I think it is worse.

We have walked the ship the past couple of days and she is looking very well in every venue we have been in. We have not heard anyone complaining about any of the ships problems.

For those boarding in a few hours, enjoy your cruise. And hope it is a problem free as ours.

David

With three Princess ships in port, I'm assuming that you are not berthed at Pier 2, which is the pier the prior cruise disembarked at. What a nuisance for those that parked at the pier garage, our disembarkation on Feb. 5 was so easy!

I'm assuming that you are not berthed at Pier 2, the pier you left from?

No, we are not and thought that was strange. Either the Regal or Royal is sitting there as can't see the name. For those who drove here and parked at the covered parking next to the pier, not sure how they get back over there to get their car. We are going to the airport ourselves, so just catch a taxi.

Disembarking is behind a little as we were suppose to walk off at 8:00am and they are saying closer to 8:45 - 9:00am. Glad we have an 11:45am flight as to not cut it too close.

Wow, that is a late disembarkation! I went to the Port Everglades website and looks like Coral is at pier 21 and Royal is at pier 2. Those who parked in the covered garage when you left on Feb. 5 will have to take a shuttle back over.

Safe trip home and thanks for the lovely pictures and coverage of your cruise.

We just got off the Coral also. This was our very first cruise and we enjoyed it immensely. We found the food to be very good in all dining venues. Our balcony stateroom on Aloha deck was comfortable although a bit on the chilly side. I was happy to find that the bed was quite comfortable since I'm used to sleeping on a Sleep Number bed. The Destination Lectures on the various ports were very informative and helpful if you'd never been to those places before. We did Princess shore excursions in Cartagena, Panama and Grand Cayman. Was sorry we had to skip Costa Rica. All in all a very good vacation. I'm glad we chose Princess.

Hi, anywhere to get fresh sushi on the Coral?

My husband said they had sushi one day for lunch in horizon court, but I didn't eat there at lunch more than once and didn't see it myself. No sushi offered at any specialty restaurant and never saw it offered in the main dining room.

I was told they have sushi at Vines, but I don't even remember seeing the Vines on the Coral.
