Since we have the thread with Pitbulls new commercial I am curious to know if the male or the female in everyones homes handle the NCL bookings. I want to see if they are marketing to the correct demographic.

Always me. Cruise, land, air, RV, etc. Always me.

I don't think your choices are relevant to the video. I think the video is appealing to a certain age group, not a gender.
i disagree based on all the 1/2 naked woman in the video surely outnumber the hot men in the video.

In fact the only guy I remember was hidden behind....you guessed it, a bunch of 1/2 naked women.

Judging from your comments on that thread, you seem to be pretty steamed about it. Who would you rather see in place of Pitbull?

There seems to be some assumption in this question that there's a male and a female in "everyone's homes," which of course is not the case.

I have not seen the commercial yet but, we discuss what we want to do and where we want to go and then I do the planning for all our vacations, cruise, RV, land, etc. We make a final decision and I do all the bookings, etc. DH shows up when I tell him and has a great time...this system works great for our household and has for the past 23 years! :)

Could I suggest that the OP changes "the male or the female" to "a male or a female" so that others like Turtles06 are not offended.

I do most our travel planning and arrangements, and handle anything online, manage spreadsheets of costs, etc. (female). My husband generally makes any actually phone calls though, because he's more flexible during the workday than I am.

Can't say that I've seen the commercials or anything. I rely on research for my decision making, not a marketing department. That being said, it is a joint operation for vacation planning between my wife and I. I do most of the research and planning, present my case and then she ultimately has the power of veto...which thankfully she has never used! She is easy to please though, so my job isn't too hard.

Basic market research will show you that in homes that have an adult female, she is typically the person who makes most of the purchasing decisions. :)

There are only females in my home now, but before I was divorced, I made all the vacation decisions. If I didn't, my ex-husband would have wanted to take an annual RV trip. Wasn't ever going to happen.

Wow. The thought that there are men out there that are actually involved in vacation planning is totally foreign to me.

Well...I just rethought that and it's not totally true. As far as my husband is concerned, he has nothing to do with any aspect of vacation, except to say "wonderful" to whatever I decide and arrange. Most of the time I'm fine with it, but sometimes I do get a little tired of always being the family travel agent. But full disclosure, he depends on me for almost all things involving any sort of planning and organization. It's just our "thing."

I am happy to say, however, that my 25 year old son is very ready, willing, and able to be actively involved in all aspects of vacation researching, planning and booking. So I can't write it off to a male/female issue. I think it's just a personality thing.

On a side note, we're not at that place where our kids (25 and 26) are doing any of the vacation paying yet. We still follow the rule of "if mom and dad are buying, they're happily flying - or cruising as the case may be!" They don't have the freedom or availability to vacation with us that often, so we're more than happy to do it for them when the opportunity presents itself.

I meant no offense in this poll. I am just trying to find out the male to female ratio of who handles most bookings and if the commercial is targeting the right consumers.
