Large group in MDR

We have 13 in our group so far and it may be more by the time we sail. Would we all be able to dine together (same groups of tables) in the MDR?

Probably only if you book traditional dining and have the reservations linked. EM

Tables are bolted in. Which ship? Some ships have tables that share a long bench that can be used for larger groups.

We had 13 at a round top. (A topper on table) It was horrible. Couldn't talk to anyone beyond those next to us.

For a group of 14 on Conquest class, we had one long table. On the Fantasy class for a group of 27 we had three round tables grouped together. On the Dream class for a group of 17 we had a round table with a long table beside it.

 

Make sure and link all of your bookings together and have same assigned dining times.

Our last cruise on the Pride this past August, we were a group of 12 and were seated at 1 large table.

 

Usually our group is between 10-16, and we always have a single table together. The one exception was when we did a family reunion cruise on the Valor, there was 37 of us and we were spread out over 3 tables but they were all right next to each other. We knew that going with such a large group there wouldn't be a single table for all of us, we were just worried if we would be close, so kudos to Carnival to getting all of our tables right next to each other.

Nine of us on our summer family cruises. We always do anytime. On nights we wanted to eat together we often had to wait for a table as there are a limited # that accommodate that many. We found it was just easier to asked for tables close or on the banquettes. The big round table wasn't conducive to conversation anyway. This serves our family best.

Sailed on the Glory with 20 people. They had us at 2 large round tables right next to each other.

 

Prior to that I sailed on the Breeze with 45 people and we had 4 tables....they were lined up back to back to back, and the 4th table was off to the side but still close enough to the group.

We had a group of 16 on The Glory and we were in 2 long tables not exactly beside each other but one in front and one behind. (Like one row of people with backs to the next row of people). The waiter didn't mind that we switched it up a few nights so that we could all have a chance to eat together.

When I travel with my large family, we have anywhere from 15-20 people. We always link the reservations and choose traditional dining. We have always been either sat at the same table or at tables next to each other.
