Paradise Cove is our favorite luau. It's within walking distance from where we stay at Ko Olina. Beautiful.

We did something similar. We initially book an aft balcony but it was well over $6000. Shortly after they had a promo and we were able reprice down to around $4500 which was still high. Later we downgraded to an ocean view which brought up down to about $3200. As we got closer to cruising time Balcony Guarantees popped up and we grabbed one.

Similar for us. Started with an inside and ended with a balcony $2200 for 2. Booked when they first came out with BOGO 1/2 off.

The Diamond, Diamond Plus line was almost our the door so they moved some of us to the Emerald line

We dropped off the rental car at 10:30 and took the Roberts shuttle from the airport $7pp and it worked out beautifully. We were the only ones going to the pier and they dropped us off first at 11:30. We saw the huge lines for Diamond Plus and decided to skip it and go in general boarding. It was the shortest. The checkin staff was shorthanded but I guess that is expected since this isn't a regular route. I can't imagine what the lounge will look like with so many top tier onboard. ;)

I spent 8 years in the Philippines back in the 80s, pre-internet so my main source of information was the Stars and Stripes. :)

Caught up to here. Was in the PI in the early 70's at Clark, Camp O'Donnell, and Crow Valley. Best duty ever and the Filipinos, in our area, were remarkable and very good to us. Hope that becomes a port of call some day. :)
