joankiara Posted June 17, 2016 #226 Share Posted June 17, 2016 Bon Voyage. Where are you joining the ship? In the meantime, enjoy Bonnie Scotland. Thanks for that...and I might add it is drizzling and much cooler than Perth here in Edinburgh. We joing the SP 9 July in Dover through to Freo...yesterday it took us about 10.5 hours to fly from Perth to Abu Dhabi and just recently it took the SP ten days to sail from Freo to Dubai. Kiwi_cruiser Posted June 17, 2016 #228 Share Posted June 17, 2016 We went to Salerno on the Emerald Princess :), its a nice place! Trying to get back in to the port can be a bit of a pain, due to truck traffic trying to get there loads.

NSWP Posted June 18, 2016 #230 Share Posted June 18, 2016 (edited) We liked Civit, had 3 nights there one time pre Med Cruise/Transatlantic on Ruby Princess. Very historic port town and some great little 'Mum & Dad' pizzerias in the side alleys. The real Italia. All seems to be going well on Sea Princess. A friend of mine has just booked an inside cabin on Sea Princess for May 2017 'Worldie', Yikes, he is going solo @ $38,500. That is $370 per diem, Ouch. Even with $1000 obc and no additional gratuities, still way overpriced in my opinion. Edited June 18, 2016 by NSWP

Rare MicCanberra Posted June 18, 2016 #236 Share Posted June 18, 2016 Great grabs, Civitavecchia is a very busy port and can be very long drives just to the port gates. We had private transfers organised for both our visits.

joankiara Posted June 25, 2016 #248 Share Posted June 25, 2016 Good shots posted...thanks.... It was too windy (or whatever) to go up the canal on the 2011 Dawn Princess World Cruise so just went straight to Bergen ....wonder if we will miss any ports on the way back to Oz...Easter Island sounds to be a hit or miss with swells etc. Meanwhile enjoying a good old Scottish summer....at least no rain today so far!
