Traditional dining on Regal

Does anyone know which dining room is for the early traditional dining on Regal on the New England cruises? I chose 5:30 traditional.
There will be two DR's open for early TD. With a 5:30 time you will probably be in Concerto, Fiesta deck 6 midship. That DR is only used for early TD and then switched to ATD at 7:30 or so. Allegro, Fiesta deck 6 aft is used for TD all night but early TD may be at 5:45. The only way to be certain will be when you are onboard.

Okay, just to help with any confusion on my part!

The web-site offers 5:30 and 6:00 early seating.

If we choose 6:00 traditional, which dining room would we probably get?

I wonder if we should try to get an ongoing 6:00 in ATD....

They might do that until 6:00, right?

As far as I know there is no 6PM dinning time on Regal. Early is 5:30 or 5:45. This is as of my last Regal cruise in March 2017.

Reservation times in ATD are normally 5:30 and 5:45. I have not seen 6pm as a reservation selection time.

At 6:00 it'd be the Allegro (6 aft) and 5:30 would be in one of the ATD restaurants for a traditional first seating.

However those have rarely been our actual assigned times: 6:00 becomes 5:45 or 5:30; 5:30 becomes 5:15 or 5:00.

When the 6:00 time was unavailable, we've been assigned the 5:30 time and waitlisted for 6:00.

On most of the Princess ships (the larger ones) you have two DR's at mid-ship on decks 5 and 6 and one at the very rear which is accessible by aft elevators or stairs (or drop down a level from Promenade).

Anyway, as indicated above, times might vary a bit once on board from what the booking choices indicate.

The aft DR is 100% TD and you will be in there if selecting the 6:00pm early time. The earlier TD times offered are for one of the mid-ship DR's and as indicated, switch over to ATD after the early TD's are done. The other mid-ship DR will be planned as 100% ATD.

I have also noticed that once the wait staff realizes some early TD folks are not showing up to their table, they do bring in ATD folks during the otherwise early TD time period in the mid-ship DR(s).

That happened to our group & other ATD passengers on the Regal & we were escorted to the Allegro traditional dining room for an early seating at unoccupied tables. I don't know if passengers had previously informed dining room staff they wouldn't have dinner that night in Allegro (something we do) or if they waited a period of time before assigning ATD passengers.

Their communication was effective & also included sending passengers to the other ATD room to seat passengers ASAP.
