Maintenance is now here looking at something. Some sort of fuse issue. They are throwing breakers. Let go, enough waiting already.

Ok, they are now signing off the maintenance log book and we are off.

Bad News- Captain just informed us we would be arriving about 30 minutes late

Good News - traffic control has allowed us to take a "short cut" to help make up a portion of the hour of lost time.

Better News - we are on our way.

More Interesting News - I don't need to airplane shame the Lisa and Owen, or at least not yet. They are nose deep in their devices. The gentleman beside me though is more interesting though. Me is now actively working on something, but I think he might be a nervous flyer.

I can relay more later when he isn't reading over my shoulder. [emoji6]

Glad to hear you are on your way and more importantly they fixed that bad fuse! It's worth the delay. :)

Yah, they removed the breaker and plugged the void with a roll of pennies. So far so good. It isn't glowing too much.

I decided to skip the food porn for the flight meal. I'd take a picture of the meal, but once I was done with it looked more like the back of a taxi after a night of hauling drunks. A big mess, but you get the idea. Delta called it lunch but really it's almost supper time.

Maybe we will go to Gilbert's for an 8pm snack. Now that would make a great scope.

I saw a few good ones on the way to the airport.

I'm really sure what the Bingo implies, but by the way the bearded wonder is leaning in it might just have two meanings. Perhaps they should have put Bingo at the top with a comma, because the way I read it he just got a renewal of his "medication".[emoji23]

And then there is my personal favourite. OK, I didn't actually see this one in person but it was to classic not to post here. Listen Lisa, I know how to load luggage.

I am loving your review and your cruise hasn't even started yet!!! Since we are on Harmony together I am going to have to ask to borrow your monkeys to help me write my review after the cruise. I assume you will be doing another live blog, so they should be available for hire afterwards? Haha :)

Sorry, but what is Gilbert's?

Quite possibly the best burger joint I've been to. It is a family run restaurant. It is around the corner from Embassy Suites in the Publix Mall just off of 17th Street in FLL. It is a mainstay and routine pre-cruise ritual for us.

I'd post pictures if I had some one my iPad. Google it, and go there hungry. I have only ever once finished my meal there. It is a bit pricey but a great meal for the cost.

I hate to say it but I let them go. However, by November 8th you should be able to get some script monkeys real easy from your choice of either Hillary or Donald campaigns. [emoji3][emoji6]

Now being Canadian I will apologize for that joke. Sorry. Really, I'm sorry.

We are getting closer. I can't wait to finish this day of hurry up and wait. It will be followed by a night and morning of more hurry up and wait. It's so much easier to accept when you are getting on the ship.

Hahahaha, don't want to turn this political, but regardless of the outcome, I may be looking to relocate to your area after this, and have zero interest in either of their writers!! ;)

Hi Andrew, and Lisa, and Owen!

Andrew you were the reason we set up the periscope acct. in March. We didn't even know what it really was at the time. We have enjoyed your scopes and now follow a couple of others. (MPoole is a crack up, too!). We also love your reviews. Always look forward to some humor.

Hope the weather is great for you guys and that you have a wonderful cruise!

Have a great week Andrew. Will be on at the end of Oct and can't wait for the suite perks.

BTW, love your new ride, but I am a Corvette man myself.

Well thank-you. It took long enough to get to our hotel room, but we finally here. It is raining a bit so we aren't even going out for a walk.

As for the ride thank-you. I love all cars and will drive anything once just to say I have done it. In Vegas Lisa and I ran dozers and excavators at a place called Dig This. On a side note I absolutely love the new Corvette, but if I had to choose I'd go with the original 1953 Vette.

Thank-you. I hope you enjoy the review and scopes this go around. You are right about MPoole. We sail with him on Harmony in November so I can't wait to meet him in person. I might need to buy him a Stella or two.

BTW, the scope of the old guy on the pier in Santa Monica, the reaction you and Lisa had, priceless!

That scope is still saved in my past scopes if you need a replay. Our you could just make the commute. There was nothing creepier, in a funny way, than that guy signing Taylor Swift. The whole pier experience was a great way to end our LA trip.

Hi Andrew,

Glad you made it to Fort Lauderdale, have a great cruise. Kelsey introduced me to Periscope so I'll be able to follow you on both forums.

Al

Hi Al. I had quite the individual beside me on the flight down. Can we arrange that you fly down with us for Harmony in March from Detroit. I'd really like that. I like the known not the unknown.

BTW the Delta track your luggage app was a great has been great to follow our bags. Thanks for showing it to us a few years ago. Say hello to Kelsey for us too.

His scopes are so funny sometimes! So neat that a bunch of you guys are cruising together and getting to know each other! Yes! You have to buy him a Stella!

We have made it. Actually we've been here for about 6 hours but just now have I started to get comfy. We didn't even walk after we checked In. We just flaked out. Home this night is the Hyatt 17st Convention Centre, our regular "flop house" in Fort Lauderdale. Actually it is a great spot, free wifi, clean and good sized rooms, great price and nice little breakfast.

Our taxi driver was decent. Seems like they are trying to up their game since Uber has started to get a grip on their domain. That being said we are taking Uber SUV to the port tomorrow, unless there is a taxi out front of a our hotel.

I think I a have a bit of fuel left in my tank for one more post tonight. So here we go.

So while I was getting ready for this cruise my wife introduced me to Pinterest. Well, what an app that is. It is a hot mess of conflicting opinions on the exact same topics discussing pros and cons of basically any topic imaginable.

I cut a few images from some of the "Pins" after I tried reading the info relating to them. It might come in handy for the first time cruiser but I'd like to think we have passed that stage a few years ago.

Let's start with cautionary ones I found. I think if you read these you might get never step foot on a ship.
