CruisersfromMD Posted September 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2016 My DH and I will be going on the 5-night Grandeur out of Baltimore. The ship is scheduled to leave at 4:00 PM. I was wondering if anyone knows what time the ship will sail under the Key Bridge and Chesapeake Bay Bridge on its way out of the bay. Thanks in advance for your help! dixieva Posted September 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2016 In my experience the Key Bridge is about 45 minutes after you leave the port of Baltimore and the second bridge is about 2 hours after leaving the port. Enjoy your cruise!

leaveitallbehind Posted September 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2016 ....and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel just before you enter the Atlantic is at about 11:00 PM. Interesting watching the lights of the cars on the bridge as they disappear in the tunnel.....
varganator Posted September 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2016 I drive the Bridge tunnel often and I am always jealous of the people I see on a cruise ship as I drive into the tunnel.

KeywestK Posted September 24, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2016 Don't miss sailing under the bridges. It was a highlight of the cruises we took out of Baltimore.
Tony O Posted September 24, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2016 FYI as you approach the Key Bridge on the left side you will see a Red White and Blue Bouy this is the approximate location Francis Scott Key was at when he wrote the National Anthem Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app

atb Posted September 24, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 24, 2016 Several years ago, someone posted the times, and i have it posted in my cruise journal. With a 4pm sail-away: Key Bridge at 445, and Chesapeake Bay Bridge 555pm. And the Kellam Bridge Tunnel at 1215am, if you're still awake.
CruisersfromMD Posted September 24, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted September 24, 2016 Great! Thanks for the info. I will have to look for the bouy near Fort McHenry and the Key Bridge! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
jneitzel1 Posted July 24, 2017 #12 Share Posted July 24, 2017 I have heard that drinking, casinos, and shopping are not allowed or open until you reach international waters. Is that true? If so, when would the Grandeur be in international waters? Thanks, Jeff

Rare Rogueperson Posted July 24, 2017 #14 Share Posted July 24, 2017 No restriction on drinking, however the casino is closed until they get to international waters. The first night, the casinos and shops will be closed. When you return, they close the shops and Casino at 8pm the night before.
Smiley525 Posted July 24, 2017 #15 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Seeing the Chesapeake Bay bridge is my #1. We have 5:30 dinner, can we do my time for the first night and then our regular table after that so we don't miss the bridge? I've never done my time before...1st RCC in 14 years! You cannot switch between My Time and traditional. If you want to stick with traditional, then your options on the first night are a specialty restaurant or Windjammer. What I do is go to my table at 5:30 sharp the first night and advise my tablemates and waiters I will be getting an entrée in the WJ, then join them later for coffee and desert. cometdad2010 Posted July 24, 2017 #19 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Thanks for the time info! We leave on the Grandeur for a 9-day to New England and Canada on Thursday and my 7-year-old is excited to see the "big bridges."
