rumpelstiltskin Posted November 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2016 What I am about to say, please be aware that I am not fear-mongering. But please remain vigilant whilst visiting our country due to post-election angst. There has been protesting in large cities such as Los Angeles & Seattle. A Trump pinata was burned in LA. Would've been more fun to just fill it with candy & let the little kids beat on it. That's what pinatas are for. If visiting LA, a useful local media outlet is KTLA for updated info. http://www.ktla.com Uncle Les should be safe whilst basking on in the sun on Huntington Beach. But survey the situation in downtown LA first, & definitely avoid East LA...never safe even on a normal day. Enjoy your visit, just be vigilant. P.S. I can't wait to get to Oz where the natives are friendly. Our pending stay at Trump Hotel should be interesting. Booked it months ago before he won the primary. Hope it's still standing when we arrive. I don't want to sleep on the beach.

Done the Hollywood, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Universal Studios stuff before. We will take care. I realise the Californians won't be happy with the election results. I will leave it there. ** Thanks to all for the send off.** Edited November 10, 2016 by NSWP

Kiwi Kruzer Posted November 26, 2016 #24 Share Posted November 26, 2016 They are coming back out of the canal. I think that is the channel to the new locks on the right of pic. In the Pedro Miguel locks and heading for the Miraflores locks and the Pacific Ocean.
