Going on Breakaway 1/2/17 Any questions?

Hi everyone. I'm going on the Breakaway for a 13 night sailing to the Southern Caribbean tomorrow. It's almost the same cruise I did last year, so when I get back I will do a review with a bit of a then and now comparison.

In the meantime, please feel free to ask any questions you may have and I'll try and get the answers for you. I have the unlimited internet package for the cruise so I will update often.

Car service is picking us up at 9am. I hope I can sleep tonight. :D

Hope you manage to sleep tonight.I'm also on this sailing so excited.I'm very tired today up early done loads of walking but still can't sleep yet.

I am actually just reading your report from last year right now.

 

We did the 14 day cruise last January and are seriously considering hopping on to the Jan 29th cruise coming up.

 

Looking forward to reading your report.

Hey guys. I just got into bed after a fun day. I will get answers to the questions tomorrow. We are really rocking tonight. We are cruising at around 20 knots, not sure if that's the reason or not but you can really feel it.

Alvin is the cruise director. I can't really say anything about him yet.

Splash Academy staff are really nice, Melissa went for around an hour tonight while I donated $30 to the casino. :D

I have to say I'm flattered. There are quite a few people that I bumped into on board that recognized me and my family from my reviews. I feel like a mini celebrity. ;)

I'll post more tomorrow.

Right now I am glad I took Dramamine and put MotionEaze behind my ears. :p

We are on the next 14 day Breakaway cruise on January 15th.

 

Do they still have the "Wine Bottle Package?"

If so, could you let me know what Chardonay wines are on the list.

Can you tell me about the "Howl at the Moon" performer's?

I was on the Breakaway last January, and there were two guys and a gal that were incredibly talented...don't remember their names, but hoping they're back on the 15 January cruise....:)

Leaving on January 29th. Just wondering if Dan Dan is back from vacation also if Arvin & Emily are back. Enjoy your cruise. Anxious to hear how you are enjoying it.

 

The cruise director is Alvin.

It doesn't look like Arvin and Emily are back yet. The singers are "Spoken Two".

We are having a great time. The Seas are a bit rough, but getting better.

I hope you and your family enjoy your cruise and I can't wait to read about it!

 

If you could post a picture of the Ocean Blue menu, I would appreciate it. We're on the Getaway at the end of February and are considering this for one night, but my husband is a picky eater and I'd like to take a look at the menu before committing (all of the menus I've seen are from when the restaurant originally opened).

How are the seas? I heard that the Captain said it may be rough. My wife and son are on and myself and my other son are meeting the ship in St Marteen

Like hansolosmom, I am also curious if you are in the Haven this time and if you did an upsell. I loved your 2 previous reviews of the BA as they helped me make the decision to book my family on it for June.

 

We are currently booked in a Haven Aft Penthouse, but I'm starting to have second thoughts about paying so much.(over $10,000 for the 4 of us) With our final payment due in just a month, I'm considering changing to a Mini Suite with large balcony and hoping to have some luck calling the upsell line in May to get the Haven Aft for a lower price. Right now, 10 of the 12 are still open and one of those booked is mine.

 

Is it worth the risk? Were you able to get an upsell? Has anyone had a recent upsell on BA?

In the same boat so to speak. I booked a balcony for the 4 of us, I'm considering a mini-suite but curious about the upgrades. Last time there were only 3 of us so I was able to upgrade to the Haven, but the 4 person rooms are harder to come by especially with the 3&4 sailing free

My sister and I are also going Jan 29th. So excited for this long cruise. Never been on this cruise ship not sure what to expect. Any tips will be great
