GUT2407 Posted January 11, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Us too Gut.....Pacific Circle when we can ever get that much leave:rolleyes:on a Grand Class:p The one that includes Vancouver's 200th celebration and 4th July in LA (or San Fran) looked good, I think that's this years. (I know it was on Golden). We looked long and hard at 2016' but by the time Mrs Gut got along Service leave figured mid ship balconies were gone, so we did circumnavigation of Australia instead. Of course there is also an issue of $$$$$. I just hope the keep offering it for a while.

We will have to wait a few years yet, 2 -3 week cruises and our caravanning is all we can manage on 4 weeks annual leave and public holidays. Rare MMDown Under Posted January 11, 2017 #19 Share Posted January 11, 2017 What a wonderful adventure for all who are cruising, with lots of interesting ports. 9 consecutive sea days wouldn't suit me. I hope they don't have any trouble cruising to Buenos Aires after the Falkland Islands. They were stopping the ships when we were there. Stopping at Papeete, Tahiti only both ways seems strange until you realise it is easy for crew to have a night off there.

cruisine21 Posted January 12, 2017 #21 Share Posted January 12, 2017 We did the Bris-Syd leg and met a few people that were travelling 84 days. One elderly couple we spoke to yesterday spent paid over $10,000 for travel insurance. They had to take out 2 separate policies and the husbands alone was over $7000. I'd seriously consider self insurance. The big question is what would a multi tensif thousands dollar medical bill do to you.
NSWP Posted January 12, 2017 #23 Share Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) What a wonderful adventure for all who are cruising, with lots of interesting ports. 9 consecutive sea days wouldn't suit me. I hope they don't have any trouble cruising to Buenos Aires after the Falkland Islands. They were stopping the ships when we were there. The Princess ships are ok to go to BA, but the Brit ships, Cunard/P&O are not allowed into BA if they intend calling at the Falklands. Now they are all Carinval Corp ships - American, so work that one out !! Stopping at Papeete, Tahiti only both ways seems strange until you realise it is easy for crew to have a night off there. We called into Falklands - tendered, sorry the Malvinas on Golden Princess in March 2015, no problems. Just don't mention the word Falklands when one is in Argentina !!
