Made it. 3:15 from door to door. Rental car is dropped off and settled in the hotel. The Hyatt 17th street convention centre is a great spot.

 

Would have been faster if we had this as a rental. Owen could have held on to the roof, easy peasy.

I noted out loud that they even gave us an order number the same as Lisa's age. Owen quickly added "reverse the numbers".

A few pretty intense squalls developed here today but only left a trace in London. Still calling for 5cm tonight, 2-4 tomorrow morning, and 10 more tomorrow night possibly. Be glad you are where you are. We will be down there Sunday morning as well. We will try to leave this yucky weather behind us in Ontario. We will look for you on the sailaway cam tomorrow if you wave to us.

Passed on dessert for tonight, but for those that are curious.

 

 

 

 

We then did our traditional walk through Publix and didn't really buy anything.

 

 

Other exciting news just texted to us, Owen's hockey team won the second game in their final round of playoffs. Series tied 1-1. They have a tournament this week when we are away and they won their tournament in January. They finished their season ranked in first out of 29, with only 2 loses all season.

 

The remaining playoff games are when we return home. Hot Caribbean to the cold arena in one day, yuck.

Safe travels. Our roof repairs were almost completed but then the snow hit. Just a bit left to finish hopefully on Monday.

As we were settling down tonight we chatted with Owen about the last few days with grandma. He answered our questions. Yes, he had fun. Yes, he loved seeing grandma. Yes, the places we went and the things we did were amazing. He said there was only one thing, he wished it was closer to Fort Lauderdale.

 

I think we have made a life long cruiser.

Just ate at Gilbert's tonight for the very first time. We don't leave until Sunday and it's possible we'll visit again. It was amazing! We took one of the "kitchen sink" cookies back to the hotel. Lenore Gilbert recommended we heat it in a microwave for 30 seconds. She cut it into fourths for us, and 1/4 was more than adequate. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Highly recommend this place for an easy pre-cruise dinner. Thank you for sharing Gilbert's with us!
