Recommended Posts

Hey bud, I'm glad you are enjoying paradise!

I love the shirt Owen wore at St. Armand's Circle lol

Ed Smith stadium is great and the players are even better...I love how the players just come right up and you can have the kids pet them!

OMGosh, Kilwin's, you're killin' me! I'm so hungry now!! Fun Fun!

Stop by Jaxons in Dania Beach (Ft Lauderdale) before you turn in the rental. :D

http://jaxsonsicecream.com/

Jaxons is a neat experience! We brought the family there late one weekday night and the line was long, but went fast and was worth it! There are some nostalgic candies for sale there from when we were younger. You can buy Owen those candy cigarettes to impress the people on the starboard side of the ship!

I could only imagine the reaction if Owen had some Popeye cigarettes.:o

You made it back to Kilwin's. I'll take a caramel swirl.

It might melt before you get it, but why not. :)

No life guard on Duty, not until 10 am.

6760c5683d153052d47b23f2b413e78c.jpg

It's to late for this crab. Anyone have the drawn butter?

Then enters the life guard driving down the beach, music blasting from the cab.

Musical Interlude - please sing out loud at the top of your lungs:

Some people stand in that darkness

afraid to step into the light,

Some people need to have somebody

with the edge of surrender insight

Dont you worry, its going to be alright

because im always ready,

i wont let you out of my sight

I'll be there,

I'll be ready,

Never your fear,

Now dont you fear,

I'll be there,

Forever and always im always here.

Hoff... um... I mean Mitch, or is it Buchanan - you're late for this rescue. That is unless you have the drawn butter.

Hijacking again...:)

John, Bella is adorable! Of course, I'm partial to dogs from the Highlands -- we've had Scotties for years! We have two at the present time; have thought about adding a Westie, but two is a handful (especially the 5-yo male we have).

Andrew, So jealous of your sunset on the beach photos. It's only going to get worse for me -- especially on Tuesday when we may get our first (and last?) snowstorm of the season. We fly to LA at the end of the week, so at least I'll get some warm weather (although it is almost 70º today).

Back to Florida!!

My brother had a couple of the Scotties as well. They had both passed on but they were a lot of fun. Enjoy your run of great weather, once you leave the snow behind.

This sign made me stop and do a double take.

I then proceeded to talk down and belittle the flora and the fauna. I told them that they would never amount to anything. I keep looking over my shoulder to make sure I didn't get caught by Johnny Law.

I then proceeded to pic on this lonely flower.

I told him he'd never grow up to be like the ones out from at moms condo.

Thankfully I wrapped up my disruptions before the LEO drove by. No big house for me. [emoji6]

I think I'm ready to talk about my food coma. Locals of Sarasota might know of this place. It's not a foodie place, but it is a place for food.

When we arrived at 12:05 we got almost the last spot in the lot, and there were 20 people in line in front of us. When we got into the building we saw the selection of pies that would await after our main course.

In traditional Disney style the line wrapped through their bookstore as you waited for your table. I was going buy this one for Lisa, but she declined. Lisa's birthday just passed but Mothers Day is coming, it could been an awesome gift.

We ate well, very well. I'm not saying who had what.

Someone had 4 pieces of fried chicken, and I'm not saying who. The corn muffins were gone before the mains arrived.

Baked chicken.

Then dessert was someone consumed. Coconut cream pie.

2 pieces of cherry pie, but not by one person.

Strawberry pie.

A fruit bowl also went awol as well. When we left 1.5 hours later the line was just as long as when we arrived. I will mention my Aunt and Uncle joined us, so it wasn't just meal for four.
