Perks of suite compared to balcony on diamond level

Recommended Posts

The suites are great if there are more than 2 of you in the cabin but a JS is usually great value and has most of the things we like eg bath, kettle walk in wardrobe bigger balcony and double C&A points.

No walk in closets on most Vision Class JS's

Maybe true but we have just got off Independence on May1st and our JS had a nice large walk in wardrobe.

I think the corner afts on Enchantment and grandeur may have walk in closets. Rhapsody does not. No worries, we are on a 14 day TA and std closet is fine.

FWIW, the height of the tub/shower is definitely a problem if over 6' tall

It doesn't seem the cl or getting rare but they are being replaced slowly but surely.

In 2016 they replaced the CL on the Liberty with an SL. However, they also released the Ovation with a CL. So there does not seem to be any effort being made to replace all CLs with SLs. Rather, the decision seems to be based on the perceived needs of the Suite passengers on that particular ship. In the case of Oasis class ships, they all have SLs, probably because of the large number of suites on those ships. However, I am not sure what was special about the Liberty.

Staterooms 7166 and 7666 on Enchantment and 7150 and 7650 on Grandeur have walk-in closets.

I know,it was not the most inspiring room and had very few seats and no outside views to talk about, but we always got lots of strawberries dipped in various chocolate and we got several invites from other suite guests to come over from the UK to visit US and Canada which we declined but the offers were very kind from a nice group of people. Some day we will get back on Brilliance and look forward to seeing the new lounges.

Yes...yes indeed you need to check it out. The Brilliance and her three sisters are our favorite class of RCI ship. :)

We are on Brilliance again this December, and then sister Jewel the following month.

Agree...we meet the nicest people in the lounges, and still do repeat cruises with a few couples we met.

In fact visiting with one couple next week at their home.

Yup, suits us just fine also...for the same reasons. ;)

That priority disembarkation perk is wonderful!

JS gets double C&A credit, and it's a nice size too.

Concierge Lounge is getting rare, since many of them are getting renamed to Suite Lounge and D+ are no longer getting access.

Concierge on Liberty somehow messed up the normally great disembarkation yesterday , we somehow came after groups 2 and 3 and did not get off till 10am ( was always off by 9am in past) hope we never have to deal with him again.

My problem, is opposite. Being short, I find myself knocking my shin getting in and out of the tub with those

high walls. Have since learned to grow wings. ;p

With my decreased mobility I to have issues swinging my legs over those tub walls.

BTW, the short ceiling means I can use my head as a point of contact when lathering up. [emoji6]

I just returned from Anthem of the Seas as D+ in a Grand Suite. The suite included the Concierge Lounge and Coastal Kitchen. One night we tried Diamond Lounge and regular dining room. Now we appreciate the suite perks! GS also includes internet, all kinds of treats in the room, and that special disembarkation. We were treated royally where ever we went on the ship.

Pretty much unique to Oasis and Quantum ships

One big advantage: She was escorted off the ship at disembarkation and right to the front of the line at customs as a suite perk.

Wow! We always book a GS or above and have never been escorted to the front of the line at customs! Did this occur because they were on their honeymoon?

Would be nice to think they treated the honeymooners to a special treat....but no....this was their usual on Serenade. We were on 11 night in February.

It would be great if all suite guests on all RC ships were given this perk. The Concierges aren't consistent across the fleet.

Sailed in suites multiple times. My experience is the escort off varies by port. In some cases it was to the front on the disembarkation line not customs line, in others it was just you were the first tag called, and only once was there special treatment in the customs line
