Crown and Anchor department to become exclusively in Guatemala

Recommended Posts

Since their name is Royal "Caribbean" you would think that they would at least want to be based somewhere in the Caribbean!!!!!;p

MARAPRINCE

Lol, I believe some of the ships are actually registered in the Bahamas. ;)

If true, no biggie.

I work for a large hotel company who has off-shore reservations offices in The Philippines in addition to ones in the US. Guess who has the lower error rate for bookings and far fewer guest complaints based on guest experiences. If you guessed the US you are wrong.

Sometimes when we are in the US and hand over papers with our names people think that my wife is the one named Kim

There has been nothing in Oregon newspapers about this. The call center isn't that old.

They're not closing the call center, they're going to move existing Loyalty agents to different departments. It's not newspaper worthy. That call center is larger than both Florida and Guatemala's, there's plenty of other positions to move them to. Especially because over the years, the department has gotten smaller and smaller at that location. There's almost 1000 people that work there; moving around 30 some odd people won't make the news.

However education in the Phillipines is far ahead of Guatemala as is English proficiency. Guatemala is very underdeveloped.

So I have it on good authority that the C&A department will no longer be in Oregon in the coming months. They are restructuring and making the department exclusive to the Guatemala call center. Just a heads up.

These two posts of yours, combined, are VERY confusing.

My interpretation is that it is not the call center closing but just the C&A department that is being removed from the call center.

Oregon is where Club Royal is located so I suspect from the comments about people being moved to different departments that is where they will most likely be moved to.

Since the casino program changed their department takes a lot longer to get through to.

He could have said that in the first place. By not doing so, he seems to be deliberately and annoyingly stirring the pot.

How? Crown and Anchor (aka Loyalty) is a small department. They've been making it smaller and smaller. They're restructuring by making the department exclusive to the Guatemala call center. Why they're doing that I don't know, but it won't be in the Oregon office anymore. I don't see how that's confusing.

Yes, that is likely. Thank you for your input.

I didn't mention it before because I didn't think I had to explain it much further and other people didn't bother to ask nicely, they just wanted to be snarky instead. Pretty sure my post was implicit of them moving the people to other departments, not firing them.

Like you did when you posted about how the whiners ruined dynamic dining? Gimme a break.

So do I have this right, nobody is losing their job in Oregon, and Royal is creating about 30 new jobs in a poor Central American county? Oh, and there has been a cat fight on a CC thread? Slow news day.;)

I'm going back to Twitter, there is always something newsworthy going on over there.:D
