Can you still ask your RCI Stateroom Attendant to remove the contents from the fridge

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

The question is in the title really but let me give you a bit of background. I've read so often about lucky people who have asked their Stateroom Attendant to remove contents from the fridge. However when we have asked before, we have always been told no?

What's the official stance on this? Have I just been really unlucky? Is it that other people have just been really lucky? Hopefully I haven't opened a can of worms [emoji85]

Thanks!

It is my understanding they don't stock the mini fridge any longer. There should be a card in your cabin to order items if you wish. On my last two cruises in December and January the fridge was empty.

Thank you for the reply :) Which ship was this? Our fridge was full on Harmony in December!

Instead of sitting around trying to get lucky by having the room steward help.

Just take the stuff out yourself.

Put it in the top of the closet.

On the last day, put it back.

Pretty simple for most......

Actually I was advised not to do that on this very forum because people have previously been charged for the items not being in the fridge, despite them being on the shelf above.

Have a nice day :)

I have done this every cruise that had contents in the fridge.

The room steward told me to do it since they have nowhere to store it.

Never been charged.....

I always removed mine and put them under the desk and I was charged one time for something and went to Guest Services and they took the charge off my account.

I was in a JS on Radiance 4 weeks ago and the fridge contained two bottles of Evian. I asked the steward to remove them, but he never did.

The room steward has nothing to do with the fridge contents or charges. This is (or was) taken care of by another employee who checked contents and charged for missing items. Knowing this, we never asked our steward to get involved. As has been mentioned, recently the fridge has been empty.
