Should be on the 26th August 2018 Greek Islands cruise. My mother's 75th birthday cruise and we're doing three nights in Naples before the cruise so that she can do Pompeii and Herculaneum which are on her bucket list. Thinking of booking one of the balcony rooms up on deck 11 starboard side, quite fancy trying something different to our standard mid-ship deck 8 balcony choice. Really enjoying this thread, very informative, thanks.

I hope you will come back and let us know who the CD is?

 

 

For those who aren't following the Current CD thread. Jerome Sauer is the current Jewel CD, but he says a brand new CD will take over for him after he leaves. Her first name is Andrea.

Heading to Jewel on the 4th. Anything I can try to capture while I'm there? I'll be in an 8th deck balcony room if it makes a difference. I'll try my best to answer any questions I get on here by the 2nd or 3rd (not sure when I'll start on vacation from the web).

Also this is our first time in a GS, my understanding we use the concierge lounge?

Following along -- we are on Jewel in September 2018 for Italy/Greek Islands and never sailed a Radiance Class ship before.

was anyone able to find a cruise compass for the cruises since they starting going out of San Juan? Seems like there was talk of it but nothing was ever posted?

All booked now. Plumped for a deck 11 room. Oh and my mother's 80th not 75th. Oops!!

I will absolutely bring home the cruise compasses (sad we didn't get any from any previous cruisers), and I'll try with the dinner menus. Not planning to eat in the MDR, but guessing like Carnival, the menu is posted outside of the dining room each day so you can snap a picture.

We sailed the Jewel last year in July ( western med) and the ship was in a very good shape, we enjoyed our cruise very much.

We did a B2B Caribbean cruise April 2017 on the Jewel. She was in excellent shape.

New cabins on deck 11 forward hear all the people running on jogging track. Great cabins on 7 forward big balconies. Just got back

We just returned from a deck 11 room too. Definitely can hear the joggers, mostly early in the morning. But we were normally up early anyway, so it wasn’t too bad.
