Some classic responses to story, the posters should come and visit us. Tie it in with our meat pie thread. Greggs is big in the UK, just about every town has a store, cheap too.

Yeah, I know it had been mentioned so when I saw the story I had to share.

Not sure if I have seen what you are referring to, but I have seen plenty of stuff about religion that makes me swear like a plumber.

I will drink to that, I am a cheeseaholic and a redwineaholic, nice pairing.:')

I’m a bit of a cheeseaholic too.

A nice Blue a round of Camembert with some pickled onions or dried fruit even some of the fruit and nut cheese from Wollies. I try to limit it to special occasions though.

Every day the snacks and vino @ wine'o clock - 5 o'clock for me Mr Gut. Have to go on a big diet before the next 3 cruises. New Year resolution, probably last a couple of days. Driving up to the Gold Coast for 10 days, Xmas with brother and sister, couple of stops going up and back. Few kilos there.:o

Have to find some edible pies for Uncle Les on the Pacific and New England Hwys.

That’s why I try to limit my cheese to Christmas, parties and cruises.

First you must try a Ridgey Didgeridoo Glut free.

Then there’s the pie cart at Lismore, I think they do a Glut free. And there’s a good one at Port that I’m pretty sure does them.

A few for Uncle Les to consider

Hayden’s at Ulladulla

Robertson’s at Robertson

Byron Bay bakers

Heatherbrae pies near Raymond Terrace

You are a legend GUT. Of course tried Haydens at Ulladulla, up the road from me. Good GF pie, $7 each though..

Now on our Xmas drive up to Qld, first night is at Raymond Terrace - Heatherbrae - Sir Francis Drake Motel, so on your advice I will be sampling a dogs eye in the town, perhaps for breakfast. Not stopped in Raymond Terrace for a 100 years.:*

I used to do the trip a lot Uncle Les, and dad was a truck driver, while most of his work was carting beer and flour and stuff locally weekends we’d do furniture and stuff to make an extra quid so been a lot of places and for me a pie is a bit of a go to for a quick feed.

No doubt you called in at a few truck stops for a giant truckies mixed grill. Had a few of those, escorting the wide loads, circa late 1960's, and throughout the 1970's.

The servo cafes, Golden Fleece etc used to have a dining area out the back for the truckies and coach drivers, all the meals were double the size of what the normal traveller got, and a ton of chips with every feed.

Those were the days my friend.:halo:
