I have been an avid reader of CC & have a cruise comming up on the Brillance & have seen NOTHING positive or negative about the ship. Can someone give me a clue about the ship??

1. Things not to miss on the ship

2. Hidden places

3. The DL lounge or if at D+ can we go to another lounge, where are they?

4. Any info at all.

Love the CL on this ship nicer than Navigator or Liberty suite lounge , for diamond plus and above and suites

Yes, it was originally the Hollywood Odyssey lounge, so it has a full bar and also outside tables.

I can't answer about the DL lounge, but we loved this ship. We sailed on her back in May and the crew was fabulous! Attentive and friendly. I couldn't say about hidden places, but really the ship never felt crowded, even when everyone was forced inside because it was raining or the sea was a bit rough.

1. Look for the artwork at the top of the glass elevators (the banks that go to deck 13). You have to look towards the outside of the ship.

1. Go to the Colony Club on Deck 6 and go all the way to the back for great views of the ships wake.

1. Outdoor dining area for the Windjammer all to the back on Deck 11.

1. Helipad. Go to the outdoor promenade on deck 5 and then go all the way forward (up a flight of stairs) to access the helipad. There are great views forward from here. This may be closed at night or during inclement weather.

2. The only hidden place I can think of is the forward sundeck on deck 11. To access it go all the way forward on deck 12 and there will be stairs down to the small sundeck. Be aware that on Jewel this area was for suites only. I haven't been on Brilliance in a few years so I don't know its current status there.

3. Bob has given excellent information on the CL and DL in a previous post. :)

4. Don't miss out on the pub. It was added in the last drydock and was one of my favorite places on board. However, it doesn't have any views so if you're looking for a view then Schooner Bar might be a better bet. If you're looking for good beers then the pub is the best bet.

4. The Radiance class ships have some marvelous spaces and great views, but aren't great for hot tubs. There is a medium sized tub (maybe 6 people sized) in the Solarium and two medium sized tubs (6-8 person) on the pool deck.

Thanks to all who ans. my questions. Now I have 1 more

We are D+ & can we get breakfast in Giovannis, is it served or do we get it & bring it in??

george35

I believe the breakfast in Giovanni's is for suites and Pinnacle members. Windjammer is not near Giovanni's like on some other ships, no one brings WJ food in there.

When we were on Brilliance this past January, it was just suite guests and Pinnacle. Perhaps that has changed since January?

Suite breakfast was in chops sept 2016 for our 12 day Europe , I thought I heard diamond plus was in Giovanni's ?? would something like that be different on Europe or longer sailing rather than shorter Caribbean?

Yes, that could be different based on the numbers of D+.

Hidden area is the indoor movie theater. Smoke from casino fills atrium and rises up to the cabin areas. Keep a few cabins away from the atrium. Deck 6 balcony views partly blocked by lifeboats if you look down. Old ship but in good condition.

I think that you mean Deck 7. No cabins on Deck 6. 😊
