I do flaunt my C&A Status

Recommended Posts

I assume that's why they do so much to attract us to their ships by offering perks exclusive to our status. Besides, it gives the nouvo riche such a thrill to be near us.
I agree.

I sign a few autographs for the golds to make their cruise and they are so excited to receive them.

I shook the hand of a gold once and he never washed his hand for the rest of the cruise because it had touched mine.

Imagine how awestruck Golds would be if we were all on the same ship at the same time. They would be falling all over each other trying to get the opportunity to serve us as we imbibe in our lounge.

Cigar King and I are doing the same B2B cruise on the Freedom March 2019. We'll be flaunting our status for two weeks.

OMG

Last night was a dream come true

So we as well as thousands of other royal fans attended the Buffet concert last night.

And it was hard to get in unless you followed the check in rules.

No outside drinks, no chair covers and no large purses.

I used my cruise wristlet which had my loyalty pins on it, yes I am Diamond.

Well let me tell you one thing lead to another and the next thing you know I was escorted on stage with the man himself Buffet and played the tamborine!!!!!!!!!

OMG the attendants selected me!!!!!!

It had to be .............................

Once they saw that diamond pin, all was taken care off.

As I left the stage I was handed an autographed T Shirt and some beads....

It was a night to remember.

OMG

Then I woke up from my dream had a pillow case in my hands (t-shirt?)

You see we went to the amphitheater in Warren Ohio to watch a tribute band of buffet....................

Took the cruise wristlet because you cannot take purses in....

Danced with everyone else close to the stage,

I guess those people who smoke, um........................home grown stogies overwhelmed me (No ex legit smoker 7 years smoke free)

got home, dreamland.

Well it was a good dream.

See what Diamond gets you.

Safe travels.

Welcome to my hometown, glad you had a good time. We love the concerts at the Amp!

But my Platinum Status has yet to get me anything at home. ;p

Mark.

Yes. Looking forward to trying a new ship out of SJU. We have the same cruise booked for December as well. Just in case anyone want's to get their picture taken with me. ;-)

Autographs and the occasional hand shake (or pat on the back) sure, but my dear King do really take pictures with Golds? The line would be so long. Of course if you let me know when you will be doing this, I could have the buffet to myself. I assume the Captain is secretly jealous that no where near as many people line up for pictures with him.

On a side note, I recently missed my flight back to Atlanta when my meeting ran long. The airline person was telling me to choose between waiting until 6am the next day or $200 in fees. I flashed her my Royal pins, and bam got on the next flight at no cost. Plus an apology. She confessed that she is an Emerald.

I've been trying to help the captains out. I know they are embarrassed when I come up on the bridge, and the crew bows to me. I always tell the captain he doesn't have to bow. A simple kiss of my ring suffices.

As it should be. I hope they put you in fist class. Alone. No need to be seated near somebody who is not DS.

Often the Captain begs us to use his cabin but I prefer the Penthouse suite.

Any non DS in nearby suites are moved when a DS is in residence.

Hi Neighbor.

We live in Vienna by the air base.

We try to hit one or two concerts every summer.

Yup they do a great job.

Tonight is the tribute to Pink Floyd, but we will miss it.

We will be in Liberty at the Metroplex for the car show.

We have a 66 GTO and go to many shows.

I am sure we will be to over cooked with the temp and humidity high today to do two big events.

Take care.neighbor

We chose little Vision to do our B2B out of SJ. But could have (and probably should have) booked Freedom...since we miss her so much.

The gold minions will be working extra to bring everything to us since we are way...way back of the little ship in an aft wrap cabin. That larger balcony gives them more room to set up the large hand fans and champagne buckets with bowls of strawberries that we always request on a sea day. :D:cool:

I was blessed to be in the King's presence last December. Even if I was playing barmaid. It was a "once in a lifetime" I'm afraid. (Although, since then I graduated to Platinum!)

It's always nice to get feedback from gold's who have been fortunate and thank us for being allowed to do our bidding.

Pete, you sound like you were a quality Gold, and great guy. Congrats on Platinum. Hopefully some day we will see in the DS ranks. If we ever have occasion to cruise together, perhaps I can pass one of the good rolls to you.

We did both the Vision and the Adventure. I liked them both. Actually SJU might be my favorite port. You start out on vacation, where as when you leave from the states (We travel in December and February) it can take a day or so to reach the really nice weather.
