Is there a Staff App to Control Sip Functions?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if there is something like the RoyalIQ App for staffmembers whereby they can control the Solarium roof, Emergency Alarm, Elevator Status and to make remote pages using the Mobile App?

It would be cool to have such an app where you can chat between the crew, call the crew, create a conference call between ship crew and land crew in a Group Call.

Then I am going to create the app myself! Everyone will be surprised when they see a Home Link controller hooked up to the Solarium automatic roof connected to the router.

The staff will be surprised when I activate the PA from my storeroom and they won't know who is doing it. I will sound the Page Tones whenever I want.

The staff will be amazed when I can listen in to the radio communications talk with the Officers and make Free Ship To Shore Calls.

The IP address and MAC address will be static and my Location will be Password and Fingerprint protected.

I will have the PA system broken down into zones. I can go into the app and select Page Zone 1 and say "You in the Red Shirt log onto Cruise Critic for a very important .message"

If IT is so dumb I can play on their stupidity and gain free VOOM access bypassing the Paywall and bypass the Satellite Payment System

I wiould assign a Virtual Phone Number where people can call and it bypasses the Satellite Operator as well as unblock VOIP and add the PRL to override the Roaming charges and route it via the Officers Voice Link.

My point is it can be done! IT may need to upgrade their noggin.

I could setup the app for Do Not Track so it will be virtually impossible for the low tech IT to figure out what is going on.

LOL. Do you think IT would not catch on to this app? Using Ham radio receivers hooked up to my laptop and using Bluetooth to talk over the radio frequency that remotely activates the Push To Talk function from anywhere in the ship I can talk in an Indian or Fillipino accent as well.

If its a success then I am selling this app to all cruise ines! All I need is a programmer and hardware automation specialist.

Any thoughts on this? To make it legal I will work with Royal on this Royal Crew IQ App to control the features including the Emergency Alarm.

Who do I reach out to work on this?

Why in the world would any cruise line invest in the hardware to do this? You obviously don't have a business background or you would understand cost/reward, and there is no reward to the line for something idiotic like this.

And don't even think of making the general alarm an "app". You would run afoul of more government regulations than you could deal with in a decade. There are already enough false alarms with the multitude of manual call points on the ship (just not where you know about them), there is no need for someone to use a smartphone to start a panic. The crew is trained, you are not.
