Captain just confirmed that there is a missing crew member

Thanks :). I thought I heard it earlier and it was for the EE.

Doesn't sound good. Hope the crew member is ok.

Prinsendam now reset for 2200!

YIKES

That's 11:00 pm our time. Way too late for me with a 'Nor Easter coming in.

Dam, I'll try but I don't think I can do that one. I guess we'll just have to wait until we see her when she returns and we are boarding ;)

My Cabin Steward on the 2008 World Cruise tried to jump ship in Singapore, but Ship's Security caught him before he left the ship. He was questioned as to why he was leaving the ship with a full piece of luggage.

wow!

Any chance you can grab a screenshot for kazu. I think it's dangerous for me to try given the state of my internet.

Roy

very considerate of you Roy. :) I came back to see if by chance she was going.

9:45 and she's still sitting there. Waiting....

I wonder if they won't let her leave.

If the pilot is not scheduled until 22:00?? or is there an issue because a crew member tried to jump ship. I am still stunned at this.

What was that comment about the Prisendam - 3, 4 or 6? I wondered if the St. Johns tug was talking to her. I don't understand all the nautical talk!

Looks like St. Johns is helping with a barge (?) that is creeping in.

wow!

He wasn't thinking clearly. He did not have his Passport nor his seaman's papers. Even if he had gotten off the ship, without his Passport, how was he going to get to Indonesia? He had some serious family issues, and for whatever reason, HAL would not release him from his contract. Needless to say, his Supervisor told me that he was fired.

That is sad that he had family issues and HAL wouldn't help.

Off topic, but from your signature I've noticed you sailed Home Lines. I was on one of their last cruises before it was over. Crew were a bit grumpy, caught off guard but they sprang to action pretty fast and I was sorry to see that line disappear.

No one knew at the time of booking that it was the end of that cruise line.
