Everyone... the bonnets are for cleanliness. They’re worn once and then laundered.

I like the bonnet idea. I’d rather wear a clean bonnet and have a bad hair day than come home with head lice!

Our itinerary is 12 nights and includes Halifax before finishing in NY. Encore is 11 nights and is to Miami.

As far as demographics - it’s obviously not a Caribbean 3-night cruise crowd. So far, on day two, we’re loving the experience. All demographics are represented, but it feels more personal because of scale, and I feel it’s much more of an interactive / group experience. We can’t walk a hallway without stopping and chatting with someone along the way.

We booked the Encore TA. But we’re not young. :)

You are finishing in NY, does the ship take on new passengers? Is the Bliss heading to Alaska?

Ugh because of my question or ugh because KittyloverCA piggybacked on my post and asked a question that was already answered? Please say the latter. :p

Also, thanks for this thread - live TheDougOut threads are the best!!

Doug I accidently posted this in the Encore one. If you go to Starbucks would you mind asking if they accept Starbucks gift cards? The full Starbucks on other lines do so I wondering if this one did. Thanks!

Another fantastic review. The ship looks wonderful. I was waiting for the Alaska itinerary to come out and the week before it was released I got an offer from another line that was too good to pass up. I needs to book the Bliss now.

Correct - Humidor inside or Spice outside. If casino is open & you’re gambling, you can also smoke in the courtesy lounge.

Thank you for taking us all on your journey. Enjoying all the pics. I wonder if there is any chance the other Breakaway/Breakaway plus ships can be retrofitted with the courtesy lounge /Bliss smoking policy ?

No paying passengers from NYC to Miami, then the Panama Canal cruise starts on the 10th, ending in Los Angeles. The ship will end up in Alaska for the summer, first cruise is June 2nd, if I remember correctly.

Doug I believe you are in a mini-suite? I'm wondering about the single brew coffee makers in them. Are they Hamilton Beach coffee pod machines? You are such a great person to answer all of our questions!!!

Thanks for that I wonder if you can order from the app [emoji848]

The Bliss does not come up as an option for locations so it seems that placing your order via the app is a no.

Full disclosure... I boarded the ship with one self-imposed requirement, and that was to behave on night 1 because of our Meet & Greet responsibilities on day 2. Fail.

I don’t recall what was posted and what wasn’t... but boys behaved badly last night and I woke up to chipper Sue running off to fetch coffee while I attempted to peel the upper and lower sections of my mouth apart.

Speaking of which, I pre-ordered 24-liters of water in an attempt to “prevent hangovers”. If I have water in my cabin, I’ll drink it out of self-preservation. Well, my water never arrived, so I blame NCL for my rude awakening this morning.

It’s now taken a visit to guest services and a call to double-zero to resolve, and I returned to my cabin tonight to find...

Anybody able to count that up to 24? I’ve tried a few times and keep coming up short.
