I agree with this 100%. It would be nice if people could just sit back and enjoy Doug’s review instead of the constant barrage of requests, some of which have bordered on ridiculous. But still he’s nice enough to (almost) knock on someone’s door to ask to see their balcony. He’s on the ship for 12 days people. There will be plenty of time for him to cover everything. Well maybe not the exact temperature of the water on the waterslides, but almost everything. You’re the man Doug.

I think people are forgetting that Doug is on VACATION and not being paid to report back to us every second!

That’s unfortunate. I spoke to a rep just the other day who assured me there was. Not surprising, as it seems like nobody from NCL really has a clue about the ship.

 

 

 

FYI, one can purchase hooks (to hang from the ceiling) and a light blocking curtain to hang between areas. I did it for a cruise where I was sharing close quarters with a friend and wanted some privacy. (My butler saw it and asked for the info for his cabin!)

I have two questions that I hope aren't too onerous.

 

1) how do they do the time change on TAs?

 

2) the getaway has bliss, escape has skyline, what does bliss have for late night party/dancing? And do they allow smoking there?

Can I order on Starbucks app from my phone which has no internet access in middle of ocean unless you paid $300 for internet? Can you use your points? Browbeating the guy over WHERE you can smoke multiple times? Give it a rest and enjoy the thread.

The TA time changes are done in 1 hour slots over the course of the cruise. So to US you get 5 hours more cruise that is one hour every two days change back.

 

It has plenty for late night partying but no smoking :)

Thanks so much for spending so much time out from your wonderful cruise to entertain all of us watching here...and doing a fantastic job of it, with stunning photography.

 

I am wondering what venue they conduct trivia games in...it would be great if it were in the observation lounge....sure better then the atrium I am used to on the Breakaway....

Would it be possible to show us more of the Freestyle Daily with the days program?

Progressive (only on TAs?) is in the Manhattan Room and on the 2nd day they had reg trivia in the atrium.

I found the answer to my question on your cruise mate "Single Cruiser"'s review....

looks like morning trivia is in the dreaded atrium, but afternoon 'progressive' is in the Manhattan room...

Hi Doug, I will be on the September 30th voyage from Vancouver to Los Angeles! Reading this really excites me, I will start doing the countdown now! I was wondering where Clarence is bartending? Is it Margaritaville? And can you find out how long he will be on the ship? If you have time, thanks. He got me really drunk one day!

Sue’s celebrity status is cramping my style. It’s nearly impossible to walk from point A to point B without a few conversations along the way. We really have a great core group with us!

 

Cabin crawl is coming up at 2 PM. NCL has been great in helping out the group, and for our 150+ person crawl they are arranging 5 sets of vacant cabins to be accessible, and are printing 5 sets of room lists for us to distribute as people arrive. Everyone can go at their own pace, and rooms won’t be slammed all at once.

No Havens, although they were open to the possibility of SMALL escorted groups. We simply don’t want the added burden placed on them.

We’ve attempted to design all of our events to be “for the masses”, to support whoever shows up regardless of whether or not they registered. Hence the 300 slot pull tickets & unique format. Several of the events are being run by members of the group, and we helped out just by doing the registrations & venue requests.
