Then it was time to head down the stairs - yes there were stairs going down and there was ceramic on the walls too.

We did a 'comfort' stop and I couldn't get over the basins in the washroom. You put your hands under and the soap and water come out automatically and then it dries your hands automatically.

All with one dip with your hands.

Guernsey is beautiful.

The Guernsey cows are prized for their milk and not allowed to leave the island. Not the same as the Guernsey cows at home according to our guide.

He recommended the soft ice cream and it was fabulous.

This church is in the Guiness Book of World Records. Why? Because it’s……

The closest church next to a pub.

Restaurants in Guernsey are really good. They have to be our guide Jason said or they don’t survive.

There are no chains in Guernsey other than Costa Coffee. They simply don’t survive.

While Guernsey is part of the Commonwealth and it’s population is British, they have their own legislature. They are under the protection of the Commonwealt but they are completely independent. (They used to be part of Normandy, then Britain, then Normandy and back and forth and finally got independent).

As a result, they are VAT free.

I think a couple of our “shoppers” will be browsing later. LOL.
