We had an absolute blast at the PG tonight. Alejandro was doing magic and tricks on us and we figured a couple of them out but he stumped us on a couple.

A lot of laughter. Good thing we were in the Captain's corner in the PG - LOL. Protects the rest from our laughter. I love that spot and Maud has given it to us a few times.

Just back from the casino and, for once I was up and wisely got out. It's an early day tomorrow and a port I had to research at the last minute so I will be back tomorrow to finish Fowey and hopefully today's port.

Cheers as we sail from the Scilly.

I am just behind in my postings.
I've found them now. I post as I read down the thread. Bad habit, as sometimes my comment is made redundant by the next post.

We are in Isles of Scilly today

You are crossing items off our bucket list. Carol is getting jealous. Still we have a spare slot in 2019 and all of 2020 to fill. We are waiting to see what Saga is like and may use them again. CMV are useful to us as they do so many from Tilbury. Saga use Dover (still OK) and Southampton (bit of a trek) but they do include parking which can be expensive on a long cruise.

While Guernsey is part of the Commonwealth and it’s population is British, they have their own legislature.

This is a complex topic which even the mainland Brits don't fully comprehend, though the outlying locals usually do. There is some explanation here

Walking around Fowey - lots of pretty spots - a really pretty town and very difficult walking. Uphill, downhill over and over and over.

No wonder some were taking the trolley that took you around.

After all that walking and the uphill battle we went back down hill to get some local refreshment.

This is the ale of the area and it gets two thumbs from Kazu and her DH.

We opted not to take the typical trolley tour. thought it was too touristy and when we asked friends who did it after, it sounded like we had seen everything walking.

So we decided to do a boat tour and catch all of the wonderful sights on the water and close up. It was fabulous. Ready?

Dogs have been welcome everywhere it seems. Shops have signs saying "Dogs welcome" or "no dogs today, but tomorrow". LOL.

They are even allowed on boats. Couldn't resist taking this puppy's pic who was on with us on our boat (with permission).

And we went right under her bow. My pic was a few seconds late but it sure was quite the view.

The ship looks a lot bigger when you are underneath her.

The ride gave us great sights and the guide was very informative.

I found out Fowey was the 2nd deepest harbour in Europe (natural harbour that is.). It can actually handle a ship larger than the P'dam - probably up to the size of the Rotterdam from what the guide said. But it is pretty tricky getting in so most ships don't do it.

They were expecting 6 ships this season.
