Sayuil Posted May 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Its a very tricky question, Because everyone has their own budget and decide how much to spend. I have been to the island multiple times and spend less than 100$ per person. The only expense we have on the island is transportation as food/drinks are free on ship. I personally prefer carrying credit card which has no foreign transaction fees, Visa/Mastercard is accepted almost eveywhere on the island. Also since this is your first cruise, do you know what Cruisenext voucher is? If not, check it out, you might be able to save some money
Rare BostonGal35 Posted May 22, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2018 you dont really need cash anywhere, as you can safely use your credit card on land and the ship is cashless. if you gamble, then you'll want cash although you can get it at the casino for a small fee via your ship card. roger001 Posted May 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2018 On the ship you really don't need any. However, if you plan to maybe tip servers for drinks, restaurant servers (if you wish), cabin steward at the end of cruise, then you might want to take along some for that. That is all up to you though. For us, for all of that, we probably budget $100. No right or wrong answer.

Moby0215 Posted May 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 22, 2018 The answer totally depends on if you are going to gamble. Also if you plan to use cash in port or credit card? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DMH15 Posted May 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Man. With all the credit card fraud, skimming abd the like... I am more comfortable carrying cash in my travel wallet around my waist. Minimum: $300. Maximun $1,000 depending on ports. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
laurabegorrah Posted May 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 22, 2018 I only bring cash for tipping. I usually assume $50-$100 for the room steward, $50-$100 for concierge, and $100-$200 for the butler. This is based on 2 people for 7 days ish.

klfhngr Posted May 22, 2018 #13 Share Posted May 22, 2018 We take $800 - $1000 depending on ports... Always come back with cash, but rather be safe than sorry. We've taken $500 once when money was tight, and we still did well. As others have said, it all depends on what you do in port.
biker@sea Posted May 22, 2018 #14 Share Posted May 22, 2018 If you rent a scooter in Bermuda, take a grand just to start with for posable medical need's.
cb at sea Posted May 22, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 22, 2018 I bring about $1500 for a week trip to just about anywhere. If you don't need it, you can redeposit it when you get home. Bet to have it, than need cash and NOT have it! Larger bills are easy to carry...you can break 100's down on the ship. There's a room safe to keep your valuables in. Gershep Posted May 22, 2018 #17 Share Posted May 22, 2018 It would depend if you are doing excursions and whether you want to pay cash for them. Better to bring more and leave some in the cabin safe.
