sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #53 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Sitting in the theater waiting for the “Gallery of Dreams” show to start, and trying to stop yawning. Great day at CocoCay but all that sun makes me sleepy, and I have a full tummy. The food in the MDR and service for MTD has been great. Service throughout the ship has been Outstanding, really amazing. I am sorry I have not had time to answer questions but we are sleeping in late tomorrow and then I will try to respond. For those who are booked on the “New and Amplified Mariner”, I think you will really like the ship! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #61 Share Posted June 27, 2018 We had a great day yesterday in CocoCay. We rented an oceanfront cabana in Cabana Cove. Our cabana was in the 2nd row, the first one, close to the bar and buffet. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #62 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Cabana Cove has it’s own bar and upgraded lunch buffet. They will also grill a steak for you! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #63 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Cabana Cove also has reserved loungers for Suite guests and Pinnacles. The cabana renters had green wristbands and full Suites and Pinnacles had red wristbands. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #65 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Sandebeach!!! Thank you so much for posting. I hope that you are enjoying your trip. Since it's in the middle of the promenade, do you know what the deal is with Playmakers? Seems to not be serving food or at leas is not listed on the CC. Was it not finished yet? Please DO NOT go out of your way, but thought since it's in the middle of everything, you may have heard something? Thank you again for taking time from your vacation to post these things. Very helpful! happy Sailing My husband stopped into Playmakers last night. He said that the menu had “bar food” type items, at a charge. We also found out that Starbucks is definitely not on the Drinks package, $3.25 for a small coffee. Starbucks is across from Boleros, on Deck 4. Also, the Dog House on the Pool Deck has free hotdogs, but you can not use your Drink package to buy a beer there. sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #66 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Curious if you can do a speed test on the VOOM and post the numbers. Hi Bob. We are currently docked in Nassau. I just did a speed test. Ping = 727 ms; Download = 1.36 Mb/s; Upload = 0.51 Mb/s Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #67 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Thank you for posting! Looks great. Can imagine the Windjammer is quite busy if only venue open for lunch.Your stateroom looks nice an spacious! I'm looking at the nigh time entertainment. Wondering if the comedy show is family friendly? That seems to be the main show tonight. Enjoy your first day! The comedy show on first day was family friendly. They did an adult show last night at 12:15 AM, but I could not stay up that late. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #68 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Do you know when the formal night is going to be on the ship. We are on the 9th of July and some of the passengers were wanting to know when it is going to be. No formal night, now called “Wear Your Best” and it was last night. sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #69 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Thank you so much for these postings. How is the food? Food in MDR has been great. And the staff in the Windjammer has gone out of their way to be helpful. We wanted omelettes this morning for breakfast. The omelette station is in the back station of the Windjammer. Staff checks off on a form what you want in your omelette, then they give you a number to place on your table. Then staff brings your omelette to your table. Very nice service! sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #70 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Definitely not updated. But that is a PRIMO cabin! Congratulations for snagging it! Thank you! I booked this cabin the first day that Mariner bookings opened. I remember that you have posted about aft cabins on some ships being quite a walk from the elevator. Very true but we love the cabin. It is a little weird, however, to look down into the balconies and crew area below us! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #71 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Sandebeach...thanks so much for posting this! We are on the same itinerary as you in August, also in a JS. When you have a chance, can you see if you can wander up to deck 11, near the Solarium there should have been new staterooms put in. Can you see if they are finished or are they still working on those? That's where our JS is. Sent from my iPhone using Forums I just walked over there. Definitely a hallway with cabins there. None of the doors were open, so I could not peak in. I would consider booking one of these rooms in the future, nice and close to the Solarium and main pool deck. sandebeach Posted June 27, 2018 Author #73 Share Posted June 27, 2018 sandebeach If you have the chance can you snap a picture of the Izumi menu with pricing. Would also appreciate info on the new JS cabins on Deck 11 it looks like from the Solarium you can see right into the balcony of 1106. Thank you for the posts! Izumi has the menu on an interactive screen outside the restaurant and there are multiple screens of food items with prices. If I get a chance tonight, I will pop in over there and ask for a paper menu that I can snap a picture of. As for Deck 11, there is an outside door to that area, but it is marked “Crew Only”. I stuck my head outside the door and snapped a balcony shot for you. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Biker19 Posted June 27, 2018 #75 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Thank-you, looks like no O3b for Mariner. Given how much money they spent on the refurb and didn't get this done one can assume there'll be no more O3B upgrades to existing ships.
