Lady-tans-a-lot Posted July 30, 2018 #101 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Thank you for your amazing review. We are on the Equinox on August 25 th in a Sky Suite and I am happy to hear that Luminae has been such an amazing experience, and a little disturbed about Silk Harvest! We might need to skip that one. Did MC have tea offered daily or just on the last sea day? Sent from my iPad using Forums

There's someone on the current cruise who confirmed that the food continues to be great in Luminae. Wishing you a wonderful cruise, it's a beautiful ship with a wonderful crew! We went to MC twice for high-tea; once after returning from Key West on day-2 and then on the last sea day. I think they offer high-tea on all days, but can't really confirm. We would have paid more attention to MC had we not received the free drinks package. There are quite a few folks who rave about Silk Harvest. It just didn't work out for us. wrk2cruise Posted July 30, 2018 #104 Share Posted July 30, 2018 I know you said you didn't pay much attention in MC but maybe someone sailing now would know who is the bartender in MC. Also interested to know if Emir the butler is onboard and if he will still be there in Sept. Good to hear that the food experience in Luminae is top notch. Our favorite Luminae waiter Nino is onboard now and we are excited to be onboard in Sept. Also for others reading this tea is served in MC daily and there is no dress code like there used to be for the ones held in the MDR or a specialty. The tea in MC replaces what used to be delivered to your cabin by your butler daily. You can still request tea service in your room by your butler by special request. cococruiser Posted July 30, 2018 #107 Share Posted July 30, 2018 This is a wonderful review. I cruised once in a celebrity suite when the butler was still serving afternoon tea to the suite, I know this is now in MC. However, is there any daily service of say canapés to the suite now, or is it just on request? We have an upcoming cruise in a sky suite and just wondering what to expect. Many thanks Sent from my iPhone using Forums

pnsnkr Posted July 31, 2018 Author #110 Share Posted July 31, 2018 July 21st: One final visit to Luminae Our flight out of Miami was at 2p and we planned to meet with family in Miami for lunch before heading over to the airport. So, we were in no hurry to get off the boat. Luminae serves breakfast until 8a on debarkation day so we'd set our alarm the earlier night to ensure we didn't miss it. We arrived at 7:45a for breakfast and were promptly seated in our favorite window seat. We decided to make it a Champagne brunch and ordered us each a mimosa - wrapping up the cruise in style, I say. Edwin brought us the pastries. They all looked quite good and appetizing; however, I was not in the mood for it. DW took a cherry pastry. We ordered smoked salmon and caviar as a starter. Wow, Champagne and Caviar. We were living it up one last time. My Huevos Rancheros hit the right spot. Very good except a little sparse on the potatoes. DW ordered the Eggs Benedict. After a sumptuous breakfast, we said one final goodbye to the wonderful staff at Luminae. You could tell that they were getting mentally prepared for the next batch of passengers. Lunch would be served in less than 3 hours July 21st: Debarkation We headed over to MC and requested for the final debarkation slot of 9:15a and relaxed there for a few minutes. When it was our turn, we were escorted out of the MC to all of about 30ft and dropped at the walkway. That's about it. That was the priority debarkation service for the suites class. But, the real lines were a little bit farther down the walkway. We waited close to 30 minutes before arriving at baggage pickup and hired a porter right away as they seemed to enjoy priority access. This move probably cut our time in half on the other line that was forming past baggage claim to the immigrations/customs checkpoint. By the time we got out, it was just past 10a. After a wonderful get-together with family over lunch, we headed to the airport. The flight back was quite uneventful. After an hour's drive from AUS, we were back home. The toilets were functional. Home, sweet home.
Lady-tans-a-lot Posted July 31, 2018 #111 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Wow! We’ve been in Luminae on the Infinity and Summit and I don’t think they ever had caviar on the breakfast menu! Was there an upcharge and was it available daily? My husband is soo excited for our upcoming cruise now. He loves caviar! miched Posted July 31, 2018 #117 Share Posted July 31, 2018 We were in a Sky Suite on the Eclipse. We read the reviews where people were bragging and praising how great and special the disembarkation was from MC and how they were escorted off the ship. We walked past the checkout station and there was maybe about 4 passengers in line and it was moving fast. We went into MC and the host was there. We were told she would be back as she was taking a group off the ship. We waited about 15 minutes. She then took all of us like you said about 30 ft to the same place that we walked past 15 minutes prior but now we were in a line that was caused by our group. We waste over 15 minutes for nothing. The way other passengers described it you would have thought there was going to be a special line to get your luggage and to get thru customs. After she dropped us off at the checkout there were no priorities, no special lines etc. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

In retrospect, this was probably a better move as we were able to avail of the porter service to fast-track our way to immigrations/customs. Not sure if there was a separate priority lane for folks who elected Luggage Valet.

Not sure if there was a separate priority lane for folks who elected Luggage Valet. Was there a separate line through customs for the porters? When we were on the Eq in October, a separate line wasn’t available for the porters. I thought that was weird, how many guests could they possibly help if they had to spend 45 minutes waiting in line for each customer? I had never seen a port where the porters didn’t have a special line. On the flip slide, Jole was our Michael’s Club Concierge. The morning we departed two people were escorting guests off the ship. We were escorted past everyone in line to the luggage carousels. We split from the group there because someone in our party had a difficult time finding his luggage. It appeared she escorted some of the guests (the ones who were walking off their luggage) directly to a short customs line. We hired a porter, but had to wait in the loooong line. Miami was by far the most chaotic port I have experienced. Vickie

I had never seen a port where the porters didn’t have a special line. It was chaotic and there was really no structure. We stood in a long line to the baggage claim. After collecting the bags, we saw another long line snaking along from the baggage claim area to immigrations/customs check. At some point, this line expanded into two separate lines with equal priority. Our porter side-stepped this long line from baggage claim to get into one of the two lines to immigrations/customs. BTW, there was no separate check for customs and we didn't even fill the customs forms.

pnsnkr Posted July 31, 2018 Author #125 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Did you notice of there's a Global Entry kiosk? TIA We have GE as well. We checked and confirmed with the porter that there is no separate GE kiosk setup at the Celebrity pier in POM; even though they have signs for them
