Smoking areas on board the Celebrity Edge

Does anyone know exactly where the smoking areas are designated to be aboard the Edge. We are trying to make the right decision on a cabin up wind from these areas.

Book Starboard side, on all other ships all the smoking areas are on port side.

Look even on other ships (that i love) there are options on Pool Decks or High End areas for smoking.

No need for popcorn.

Those areas come with water misters, icy towels, fruit skewers, and incredible service personnel among other amenities....

Designated areas only and guess what...NO ONE COMPLAINS!

Sunset Bar deck 15 and Eden Portside deck 5, hope this helps

Thank you, midtracy!  I've been wondering.  As a smoker, I don't like to inconvenience my fellow travelers.  Those sites are very "doable" and sound pleasant.  We board next Sunday.

It's been changed Sunset Bar Deck 15 Starboard and Next to Pool Bar Deck 15 Port Side.  The second area is actually pretty well separated from the Pool area, so don't worry about being an inconvenience.  The change doesn't make any sense to me, you'd think if you were going to have to areas, you'd want the spaced out.

With all due respect your post doesn't match the official published smoking areas on Edge.    From pictures I've seen the smoking area by the pool is actually a segregated balcony area above the pool area.

Looks like you must climb a staircase to smoke because deck 15 is above the Pool Bar.  Do you know if that is the case?

You've got the wrong end of the ship. Look at the deck plans and go to the aft.

There are 2 smoking areas on 15.  The mid ship one is where is says Outdoor Deck.

It is a bummer there is no area on Deck 5 like the other ships.  Non-smokers have so many places to go and we have 2 areas on the same deck.  10% of passengers are usually smokers enjoying a vacation and that is only 2% of the ship. A lot of walking is hard with a bad hip.

Smoking areas on Edge: Deck 15 ONLY - Sunset Bar Aft and Pool Bar Mid

From the website:    We recognize that some guests do smoke, we have designated smoking areas on the ship. These smoking areas are identified by signage, and ashtrays are provided in these locations for smoking use. Guests may inquire about the location of the ship’s designated smoking areas at the Guest Relations Desk.        In casinos on itineraries where smoking is allowed, there will be visible signage designating the areas for both smoking and non-smoking guests.    Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and cigar bars (if the ship has one). Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas.     Cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard.    Guests must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess, or use tobacco onboard.

What are you doing? Are you trying to get this thread shut down?

Here's the issue I have, maybe someone that understands can explain. On the deck plan for Edge the Pool & the Pool Bar are on 14, yet the info says the smoking area is on 15 by the Pool bar. I'm not getting this.

I was just trying to find where the smoking areas were so I can plan.  The best rooms for a smoker might be deck 12 forward for easy use of the staircase.

From the website:  This is general info for all their ships.  The older ships have more smoking areas.

You are absolutel correct, the pool and Pool Bar are on deck 14.  Typical quality control observed by Celebrity, no one noticed the mistake.

I am a cigar smoker and there are two smoking areas on each ship...at least there has been on the last 8 sailings or so.  The smoking area on the S class is the Sunset Bar (port) and that is the designated cigar area.  the other area, on the pooldeck is an area protected from the weather, and cigars are not allowed.  so it makes sense it is on the pool deck by the pool bar, as that area is weather protected.
