Watch Batteries

Anyone know if the shops on board replace watch batteries? Especially the water resistance ones (Fossil/Invicta).

Most of those watches must be returned to an authorized dealer to keep the warranty in place. Even our local jewelry stores won't replace them unless you are willing to forgo the warranty.

Maybe, if you have a receipt showing that you purchased it on the ship during that sailing.

If I bought a watch on a cruise and the battery died before the cruise ended, I'd return the watch!!!

We have asked, and they do not replace batteries. Neither a skill anyone has, nor the tools to do it.

 

They just sell the batteries.

I can't believe they're missing the opportunity to offer to replace a watch battery for more than the watch costs.

I have a watch that needs batteries replaced. I get it done in St. Kitts at the Gold mine...no charge for the watch batteries and "free" drinks. ;-)

I have a Rolex that I received in 1983 ….. guess it's almost "vintage."

Aside from a repair in the 90's when I didn't lock it and jumped into a pool (repair was $450), I've never had it serviced. Runs great (for a Rolex, it looses about 5 minutes a month … always did).

Not familiar with Smiths watches.

When I googled them, I saw watches in the hundreds....

not 100,000. What am I missing?
