Jareds_mommytoo Posted November 4, 2018 Author #2 Share Posted November 4, 2018 Did you find the 15 drinks enough? Not the alcohol after 2 I’m done but I like sparkling water, an iced coffee etc.
dfish Posted November 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2018 You can check your onboard account through the Navigator. I don't know if they'll list the drinks there with a no charge or what, but it is worth a try. The time we had the SBP we found 15 drinks to be more than enough. Like you, 2 and I'm usually done, but even with the coffees and such, we never got close.
Rare POA1 Posted November 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2018 Ask a bartender. I don't think the transactions post to your on board account in the app fast enough. The bartenders and beverage servers can see your total in the POS system.
Jareds_mommytoo Posted November 4, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted November 4, 2018 Thanks. Last lime we had the quench package so I didn’t even think twice this time the beverage package is included.

Unless you have the proverbial "hollow leg", 15 drinks of anything (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) should be sufficient in any 24-hour period. Krazy Kruizers Posted November 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted November 4, 2018 There isn't any way you can check to see how many drinks you have had in a day. Just give your ID card to any bar tender and he/she can check for you how many drinks you have used on your SBP for the day.

AmazedByCruising Posted November 5, 2018 #11 Share Posted November 5, 2018 At a typical sea day I would order 3 nice coffees, a few beers, a cocktail or two, then more drinks in the casino. I've easily gone over the 15 drinks limit more than a few times and nobody cared. I think the limit is just an official way to send obnoxious people to their room while the ship couldn't care less when you order the 16th drink. TAD2005 Posted November 5, 2018 #12 Share Posted November 5, 2018 The ship loves it when you order the 16th beverage for the day. They won't say a word (unless you ask them) because it would be another 15% service charge for the bar staff. I have come very close to 15, but that was back when they counted water, sodas, and specialty coffees in the 15 count. I have heard that, depending on the ship, they are not counting water, sodas and coffees in the 15 per day count. I am not a stumbling, fall-down drunk, but with bottles of water and coffees, I have come close to 15. I get a little perturbed when people apply their own personal beverage standards to everyone else and when you exceed 2 drinks per day, you should be forced into the Bill W. meetings on board.

Even if he had boarded as early as possible, it was some feat to manage to run through 15 drinks before 4pm.

Rare POA1 Posted November 5, 2018 #16 Share Posted November 5, 2018 In all seriousness, any beverage server can tell you how you stand with regard to the limit. In my experience, based on traveling with some people who can run through the 15 because they drink a fair amount of water, soda, and light beer - the servers always tell the person who is running out of their package limit. However, if you are curious, just ask.

When I was younger I’m sure I could drink the 15 drinks only as alcoholic drinks ( I’m Canadian we need antifreeze) but now I’m maturing in age ( old) I get a headache. It might have helped that I bought the package from them, but they really couldn't care less about book keeping.
akenned Posted November 5, 2018 #21 Share Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) The first time I had the SBP, out of curiosity I kept track of how many drinks I had each day by keeping a note in my phone. I hit the 15 limit a couple of times. I think it's easy to do if you are drinking specialty coffees, have a few poolside cocktails or beer, waters, wine with dinner etc. However, I am also English so....yeah I am naturally able to handle more beverages than most 😉 LOL The bar staff can check in the system though like others have mentioned.
