Love following along on live reviews. Is there a way to subscribe to a thread (like before on the app) without making a comment?

Yes, there is a block down on the bottom of the thread

When they send you to Latitudes on Deck 6, do you get your latte for free?

This somewhat normal when the DL coffee machine is down for an extended time - the thing that varies is the kinds of coffees you can get at the alternate location free.

After the Jammer we headed to Casino. Royal loads $2 onto seapass for slotplay.  They tease you by saying some folks have $20 loaded.  We did not. Laura was lucky on Wheel of Fortune, up $200 the first night.  No table games played, maybe tomorrow.

Left casino and headed to welcome aboard show.  Sat in the reserved seats behind sound booth.  Diamond, D+, Pinnacle, and Suites are eligible.  Decent seats.  The pictures are all taken with a 70-300mm zoom lens.

A quick number with RCI singers and dancers, and then a PG rated comic.  Forget his name,  he's back with adult show Sunday night.  He was pretty good.  Cruisin Susan is CD and Moe the AD.

When we got to the cabin, first thing we noticed was it was cold ad a meat locker.  Second thing we noticed was the bed was covered in soot.  😱😱

I guess they didn't fix the HVAC.

The pictures dont do it justice, it was a sticky black mess

So we're  on the phone to housekeeping, then maintenance.   Housekeeping came by rather quickly, but didn't know what to do and left.  Maintenance took forever to show up.  In fact we called Guest Services after about 30 minutes.  They wanted to send someone to verify a problem.  Really?

The whole time Laura is freezing, so I wrapped her in a bath towel since that was the only thing clean.

Housekeeping came back and asked if they could change the linens.  I said you should probably wait on maintenance,  but they changed it anyway.  Just as he finished, maintenance showed up, opened the vent and dumped more crap on the bed.

So he sent housekeeping away to get a vacuum. Solution is to shake off the blankets, vacuum the ducts, fart around with controls, add filters, remake the bed and come back tomorow. 😬

Can't recall the other monikers

Do you know Kay and John? They're Pinnacles and on here too. I learned it from Kay on the Brilliance crossing last Nov!

Went to bed around 10pm, 90 minutes after we discovered the disaster.  Found out next day that several cabins were cold.  They blamed it on the cold snap and cold outside air.

It was 80 in Freeport,  our cabin is still cold.

Laura has cruised with them several times.  She attended their Pinnacle ascension on Navigator.

Laura was on the Brilliance TA as well.

Overnight the cabin turned into a sauna.  We let our cabin steward know as well as Guest Services, and the Concierge. One vent blows warm, one blows cold.

They worked on it again while we were in Freeport.  It still doesn't work.

Headed back to Lattetudes at 7:00.  Got our coffee,  but as I said earlier, staff seemed confused.  Only wanted to do Tall, Laura talked her into Venti.  They were good.  Laura got a Grande later in the day.  Less confusion.

Actually met Asst Beverage Mgr in CL tonight and he apologized for confusion.

Chops for breakfast, they opened at 8:00.  Had a small rush and were understaffed.  Our waitress was just overloaded,  Mgr said they did not expect it to be busy.  Maybe he should have helped.  I doubt we'll go back. My omelette was good

I’m curious to where the soot is coming from. Is it getting drawn in from the stacks in the outside air make up?  The way they are changing the filters they should be black.

It would be nice if The Chief stopped in, he might be able to give an answer.  Very bizarre.🤔

I think its build up inside the vents. 😱

Loosened by the technicians working on dampers.

Could very well be.  But was in your cabin before they were fooling around with the dampers?

Maybe they are just trying to make you feel like home.  😉

I’m afraid that instead of motivating me to book us on Enchantment, it’s working the other way around! 😱

Actually, I am still considering booking on EN, so I’m not letting DH read this! All he would need to see was how cold your cabin was and that would be the end of my plans!
