Come Sail Away - "Live" from Enchantment 11/16 - 11/19

Climb aboard friends, were headed to Freeport. 😱  

Never been there, what's the over under that Laura gets off the boat?

 

This is actually a warm up to our upcoming Rhapsody TA.  First time back on Enchantment since her return to PC.

It was booked with a casino $300 off cert, so we upped it to a J$.  An Aft one at that, so I'll be tracking steps on my Gear2.

 

I'm creating the thread on my laptop, but all the posts will be via my Android phone and the hated Mobile Web version of CC. 😉

We are currently in the middle of a major remodel of our condo, so I'm looking forward to not living in a construction zone.  

 

Some of the things I intend to cover are:

Parking at Terminal 1

Security line for Suites and Pinnacles only

Booking NextCruise with the new rules and a $500 Casino Certificate

Coco Cay updates

Dinner in WJ

Drink Vouchers in the MDR

Getting reacquainted with one of my favorite ships

Ease of posting to CC via Mobile Web while on ship

And whatever else I feel like pontificating on....

 

BTW, Congrats to SpaceX.  Lovely launch and landing even though it was pretty much 100% in the clouds from our place. 🚀

 

There will be alcohol

I'm looking forward to this, John!  Bella isn't looking quite so happy, though. 

 

I love your idea about getting out of your condo during your major renovations! I have a few things I'd like to do in our house, but the idea of living through renovations does not sound like something I want to do! But going on a cruise during renovations - I could definitely handle that!

 

We have not sailed Enchantment yet. I think I need to get our schedule sorted out so we can remedy that while she is still here in PC. I'm hoping your review and pictures to get me going on that. Some nice pictures of your JS would definitely help get me moving.

We were on the old girl back in August. I can say that the dining room service that we had was better than any of our Oasis class sailings, and the MDR food quality(at our table) was very good, all 3 nights. We had a compd cruise and we were in a very tiny inside cabin. Probably our smallest room yet. Mattress was very hard. Casino was much better for me(slot player) Than any of my big ship casinos!

Looking forward to my return to EN this February.  Wish we could keep her again!  When we did the MJ special 5 night that went to Freeport, we loved it, wish the ships went there more often.  Would be nice to go there on the 4 nighters instead of that day at sea.

Our Enchantment of the Seas cruise last weekend was our first RCCL cruise as Diamond members.  We were able to use the drink vouchers at every bar and in the MDR and the main show room.

My bags are packed, I'm ready to go. 

 

Since it's just a shortie, we're not checking anything.  Also no formal wear, but I am bringing a navy blazer.  I'll wear it aboard.  

 

We head over at 12:30 since I dont like dragging bag all over ship.  If its Oasis we go at 11:00 and hang out in SL/CK.

The renovation started in mid October, start date coincided with Laura going on a two week Vision TA.  I wanted her gone during demo.  😉

 

Lots of delays, so we're behind schedule.  This will be a nice break

OK, we have the new individual passenger set sail passes that look like airline boarding passes.  Not sure if that means we get our keys in room.  

 

The online check in process did not require a picture upload as I recall.  

 

The set sail also has a boarding time, I dont recall requesting anything specific, but the time frame works for us.

Last weekend during the Missouri Vanderbilt game. She looks wasted. She is, however, a teetotaler. 

 

We will be boarding in shorts.  I will have socks on, though.

 

Bell is staying with neighbors, shes been there since renovations started.  Hopefully she will want to come home someday.

My guess is not getting off Freeport! It looked like nothing was there when I was there besides and industrial port. Though we didn't dock at the one that MSC was at (not sure where Royal docks) and my friends walked over and said there were a few things like Senor Frogs. Otherwise nothing is walking distance - we did an excursion to an AI beach.
