emmantedd Posted December 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2018 I'm on the Nieuw Statendam for 31 day with 3 separate booking numbers. Will the unused onboard ship credits be carried over to the next booking number?
Randyk47 Posted December 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2018 I would check with the front desk but my guess is no since they are separate booking numbers.
CruiserBruce Posted December 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Seriously doubt it. 3 booking numbers is 3 separate cruises.
Alberta Quilter Posted December 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2018 No. When I did a B2B with two booking numbers the OBC did not carry over.
KirkNC Posted December 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 10, 2018 I assume you are talking about non-refundable OBC? If yes, they will not carry over.
Rare kazu Posted December 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2018 I was on a B2B earlier this year (2 separate booking #'s) and my refundable OBC did carry over 😉. I asked a couple of days before the turnaround port and was assured it would be carried over and it was. My non refundable had been used up 😉
Fouremco Posted December 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) I've never tried to return anything to the gift shops, so I don't know if they even give refunds, but could you purchase something on the first leg, using up your non-refundable OBC, then return it a day or two later while on the second leg? Just a thought on a Monday morning while working on my first coffee. Edited December 10, 2018 by Fouremco

That might work. We returned an item once and were given a credit on our account ... but the time did not span two cruises or segments.
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 10, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 10, 2018 3 or 4 years ago we had back-to-back cruises with individual booking numbers. We had a lot of shipboard credit and it did carry over from the first cruise to the second cruise. Some of it non refundable but it still carried over.
OVgirl Posted December 10, 2018 #10 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Ask your TA/PCC to link all the cruises. That way your account will carry over from one cruise to the next. It also assures you of having the same stateroom for the duration. I would check with the front desk when you board but I think your OBC will carry over. Please come back after your cruise and let us know how it worked.
KirkNC Posted December 10, 2018 #11 Share Posted December 10, 2018 In the good old days you could get a cash advance at the casino which went against your account. Use the money to buy chips and then cash in the chips. You paid a 3% fee but it was better then losing the OBC. Alas, HAL figured that one out. emmantedd Posted December 11, 2018 Author #12 Share Posted December 11, 2018 I'm confused. What types of OBC are refundable and which ones are not? We have OBC's form our TA, the cruise line and from our stockholder benefit are these fundable?

Anything coming from HAL like stockholder, credit for booking within 60 days of a cruise, future cruise deposit, etc are NOT refundable. Credits coming from a travel agency are generally refundable, the exception is if the credit is coming from HAL because of a group booking. Anything you or anyone else purchase for your use is refundable.
