travelnap Posted February 2, 2019 #158 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Indy is underway. IT looks like we have three HAL ships in port tomorrow. The Kdam, the Nieuw Amsterdam, and the Nieuw Statendam. All scheduled to sale at 5 so should be interesting if they all leave in a row.

Not surprising inasmuch as she leaves for her new home on the West Coast via going around the Horn. Probably much supplies to load.

travelnap Posted February 2, 2019 #161 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Well that is it for me today. Not going to wait for Royal as it is hard to tell when she might leave. Thanks Jacqui and the rest of the sailaway addicts for an enjoyable afternoon. Good Night.

Capt. van Eerten and Capt. Robert Jan Kan are part-time instructors at the maritime education center in Almere, the Netherlands, so when not on vacation or on the Oosterdam, you can find them there. That's also why there are officially three, not two, captains assigned to Oostie. Capt. Michiel Willems (not teaching in Almere) and the aforementioned two. When Capt. van Eerten goes home inn early March, Capt. Robert Jan Kan will get his three months onboard, followed by Capt. Willems. Capt. van Eerten won't be back onboard until early December

ger_77 Posted February 2, 2019 #164 Share Posted February 2, 2019 (edited) What time is the Royal Princess due to leave? I’m now watching the port on my big screen TV thanks to the Roku stick we received at Christmas, but I don’t have access to port times. 1ANGELCAT Posted February 3, 2019 #168 Share Posted February 3, 2019 Good Morning from a warm and sunny Key West. Thanks to all for the great screen shots. I have gotten lots of questions and comments on my Nieuw Statendam shirt. Captain Rens did it again😀

Roy Not quite the middle of the night,; it was about 6:15AM in the distance as we were heading towards the ocean and Royal was making her way into Montevideo. She will join the Zaandam in Buenos Aires tomorrow. Roy Edited February 21, 2019 by rafinmd
